Hi guys,
Ever since i'm in Florida i've been watching several ghosts shows. Most haunted and well...i can't remember the other show's name. But what i remember was that i had to stop watching it because i was starting to get really scared.
It was about a couple who just bought a house in...Montréal, yeah the town i live in, and the first day they entered the house they heard foot steps in the stairs but since it was the first time they were in, they didn't think much of it. Once they were settled in, the woman who was alone in the house, heard loud foot steps in the same room as her. She didn't want to panic so she tried to act as if she didn't heard anything. The same night she told her husband about the foot steps and he told her, relaxe it's probably nothing. Later on, both of them were in the living room and heard the loud foot steps in the same room as them. It didn't take long before they ask a specialist in the paranormal to come and check their house. The specialist gave them a tape recorder and told them to press record when they would both leave the house. So they did. The night when they returned with the specialist and listen to the tape...argh...they made us hear what the tape recorded. Let me tell you guys...after hearing the strange human but not human voices that was recorded in the house. I just closed the tv and went to bed scared.
Ghost is the only thing that really scares me...i've always lived in old houses where strange things happened but luckely i've never came face to face with a ghost. Thank the Gods. I have a few good stories for you that happened to me...but enough for now. What about you, know of ghost stories that made your hair on your arms stand?

I was the only one to see ghosts in my house and i think i still will be the only one.

. I don't even know how long it was before I finally took another step up the stairs. Luckily though we moved (not because of the ghosts but because it was pricey) the strange thing though is that my sister never heard or saw anything when she lived there with us but then again she was always at work so she probably wouldn't have heard or seen anything anyway. So yeah there's my creepy story.
Yes we can!
I don't know about you but I want a change.

Brr, Annieo, i think i'd just die right there if i ended up face to face with a ghost. Its one of my worse fear. But, have you ever saw ghosts elsewhere or just in the house where you live? My aunts have this weird sight too...she sees them and when she does and your there with her and watch her...there's no doubt she sees them. I never want to see a ghost, oh dead gods no.
Every time something weird happened in my house, i always tried to find a logical explanation. I dont want to think, oh yeah, thats a ghost that's doing that. But it happened a few times that there was none...there was nothing that could explain the phenomenon. Its just down right scary.
Jill, most of time when weird stuff happened i just froze and stared, almost thinking that if i move , whoever is doing whatever, will just jump in my face and i'll die on the spot. So i understand the o.o . I think some people are less 'sensitive' to this kind of supernatural energy and just wont feel it. Arghh...now i'm scared,

oh oh! I have a creepy story!
alrighty, about a year ago, my brothers were down stairs in the basement with their friends watching movies (our basement is a second living room) anywho, there were the two of them and two girls and one other guy, well any time my brothers have friends over I hold-up in the our TV room that is upstairs, it’s just a little room with a couch, comp, books, and TV. I always shut the door so no one can hear the TV and so no one bugs me either.
It was dark out and I was watching a lovely special on Pet Cemetery, which those movies scare the crap out of me in the first place, needless to say I had all the lights on and was hunkered down at the end of the couch in the fetal position already scared out of my wits.
Here’s the fun part, in the middle of the movie I hear everyone down stairs scream absolute bloody murder, I mean full blown screaming till you go hoarse. In that split second I look back to the TV as I’m about to jump from the couch and the blood soaked white dog that the movie was feathering that night, jumps at the screen (in the movie, scary attack scene…*shudders*) and then all the lights go out!!! The room was pitch black, the last thing I saw was a bloody rabid dog jumping at me, and everyone was still screaming their heads off!!!! Then to make it better the door was shut and I didn’t know left from right and couldn’t find my way out! First I ran into the bookshelf and books fell on me, and by that time I’m in tears and screaming for help. After about five minutes my mom comes to the door with a flash light and is white as a ghost, there’s whimpering still heard from the girls, and everyone was huddled upstairs now, by a lit fire…
The funny part is, my brothers put in some mass-murder movie and they were on a scary part when the lights went out downstairs first…the cause was one fuse blew out after another or something like that…really don’t believe in ghosts or think is was supernatural, it was just as scary a moment as I can remember in my life to date…*nods* and there’s my story
, but our house does have the creepiest moments, even if they can be explained, such as when I was down stairs and in the dark again, had all the lights off and there was a strange tapping at the window, now the windows downstairs are ground level from outside and head level from inside. so i get up and go look out the window, there's a full moon, and i look just in time to see a lumbering shadow of a limping dog walk into the shadows of the trees and disappear, scare part was it was walking away from the window, was as big as a saint Bernard and walked with the kind of limp that a dog with rabies would walk...see we live way out in the boonies where no one is, and out back yard goes into national forestry where we not only have the usual wild animals, but also we have wild dogs that were abandoned...*sighs* not the safest place i must admit...

I've got 3 lame stories. I'll first say that I'm not sure I believe in ghosts. I believe in some sort of after life, but I'm not sure what it is. I'm not sure I don't believe in ghosts either. I have no real opinion, but here are my stories any how. They're not as scary as the other ones.
1. I was about 12 and my parents decided that I really needed to see Gettysburg, PA. For non-Americans, this is the site of one of the deadliest and most gruesome battles of out Civil War. I was walking around the battle field while my parents stopped to read all the little signs and stuff. I was pretty board. All of a sudden I heard what sounded like a cannon fire. I looked around me for some sort of demonstration or car back-firing, but I couldn't see smoke and there were no cars anywhere near. Then I heard it again. I walked over to my parents and asked them if either had heard anything and both said that they hadn't. Kind of weird. I'm not sure what the sound was, there's a number of explanations, but why was I the only one who heard it?
2. I was at my grandparents house. They live in (I guess what you would call) the country. The houses are spaced far apart and the roads are all dirt. My cousin and I were playing hide-and-seek (I think I was about 8 or so). It was dusk and I went out to look for him. I stood in the doorway and saw a shadowed figure standing with his hands on his hips and his back towards me. I kind of got the chills and immediately went back inside since the man's build didn't match my cousin, dad's, or grandpa's (and they were the only men in the house). I found my cousin inside sitting with everyone else in the living room. When I told them what I'd seen, we went outside to look for footprints in the dirt, but couldn't find anything. The house is creepy anyway, but everyone thought that was weird. The carpeting inside the house is the kind where you can see people's footprints in it, so another time my grandpa went into the guest room to clean up or something, and he found a single footprint in the carpet. It was pretty small, so he called my mom to ask if I was ok. Of course I hadn't been to that house in months and it had been vacumed since then, so none of my footprints should have been there. We went to visit later that week and saw the footprint. It was smaller then my foot and that of anyone else who had been in the house since our last visit. Weird stuff.
3. My parents are Catholic and fairly religious. One day when I was about 15 or so, we went to a convent where a saint used to live. It was on this saint's feast day so there were a lot of people there taking pictures of everything. The site is very scenic with mountains surrounding it. We met a woman as we were walking around and she had a polaroid picture. It was of a statue of the Virgin Mary. I looked at the picture and could see a little light below the statue. I asked my parents what it was, but they couldn't see it and neither could the lady. Even when I pointed right at it, no one could see it but me. There were many pictures like that, that day. People claimed they could see all kinds of things (I won't say they were lying or telling the truth because I have no idea, I'm not a religious fanatic, but I believe in miracles, not necessarily Christian or otherwise, but you don't work in medicine without seeing miracles.). People had pictures of the sun which they swore they could see the Holy Family in it. I looked at the pictures and I could see a black shadow in the shape of a door right in the middle of the sun, but once again my parents said they only saw the sun with no shadow or darkness of any kind. Maybe I was hallucinating or maybe not. Who knows? The other weird thing that happened that day is my rosary (that's a string of prayer beads used in the Catholic faith) turned from a silver color to gold. I have no idea if this was some chemical reaction or tarnish, but it didn't happen to my parents, but it did happen to a few others we encountered, so who knows?
4. A little side not along the lines of my last story and with my thread of medical miracles, my mother had very bad endometriosis for which she eventually had to have a total hysterectomy for. Doctors were doubtful that she could ever get pregnant or carry a baby to term. Not only because of the endo but also because her body did not produce much oxytocin (this is the hormone responsible for the stimulation of labor and for the "let down" reflex with breast feeding). My mom (obviously) did get pregnant with me and after carrying me for 43.5 weeks (that's 3.5 weeks overdue), they induced labor and I was born (yipee!) I was a healthy baby which is surprising since the placenta (the organ that pretty much sustains the fetus) breaks down after about 40 weeks or pregnancy (stupid doctors, trying to kill me LOL). Anyway 6 months later, I ran a very high temperature and had a grand mall seizure (that is the full-blow shaking, very scary, violent, kind). They took me to the ER and the seizure stopped. All together, I seized for about 1 hour (that's a long seizure since they usually only last a few seconds to minutes) The doctors decided to transfer me to the Childrens Hospital in Denver because I was obviously really sick and they feared I might have epilepsy. They were also afraid that since my seizure had been so long, I would suffer brain damage because seizures use up stores of glucose which is the only nutrient the brain uses and infants depleat glucose especially fast, not to mention my brain could have also been deprived of 02 from the seizure and the fever. In the ambulance ride down, I had another seizure, this one was long but shorter then the first. Eventually I got to the hospital and recieved treatment. An EEG (measurement of brain waves) showed that I had not suffered brain damage and that I did not have epilepsy. My parents, however, met another couple in the waiting room who's child had gone through a similar incident and sadly the baby was now a vegetable due to brain damage. I was on anti-epileptic meds for the first 2 years of my life as a precaution (research shows that children who have epilepsy may "out grow" it if this is done.) I haven't had a seizure ever since, but I wonder if the migraines I now have are related to those early neurologic events. Recent studies seem to indicate it's possible as well as a potential higher risk of ischemic stroke later in my life (those are very bad.
).
Anyway, so now you all know what's wrong with me. The doctors said I wasn't brain damaged, but maybe they were lying LOL. That's not really a ghost story, but just a strange life thingy. I guess I live a charmed life in a way. I also managed to fall from a 6 foot tall fence when I was 6 and got away with only a broken arm. When I was 20, half my body decided to work against me and my right and left side wouldn't coordinate or obey what I wanted them to do and to make it all worse, I couldn't speak what I was thinking, instead words that I wasn't trying to say came out my mouth. Turned out I wasn't having a stroke and I didn't have a brain tumor (as I thought I might), but rather I was having a what's called a complicated migraine. Needless to say, I scared the "you know what" out of my college roommate, who thankfully, was there at them time, and my parents, and my boyfriend. I'm okay now, no more of those ever since. I guess I'm a pretty lucky gal (or maybe not so lucky since all those things happened to me LOL) And that, my friends, is my abriged life story. I'm not sure why I typed all that, but since I did, I'll post it anyway. LOL
Anyway, not too exciting, but those are my stories of the "paranormal."

Wow, this is so cool...i love ghost stories...the only thing missing is a camp fire! Here one of mine
I was in my bed reading a book before going to bed, back then i lived with my boy friend (ex b/f) who worked on night shift. Its then i noticed a creaking in my room. I didn't think much of it, figuring it came from outside through the open window. Eventually i closed my book and the light and went to sleep. But the never ending creaking noise was still there and i swear it was getting louder. Grumbling, i stood up to go close the window to make the annoying noise stop. I froze when i saw the window was already closed...the noise came from inside the room. I went back on my bed getting a bid afraid, i tried to pretend i wasnt scared but when the noise grew louder i got really scared. It hit me, the sound...it was the sound an old wooden rocking chair makes when someone is rocking it in and it was right beside the bed...oh boy...i almost started to cry so scared i was. Eventually after being too afraid to move in my bed because i was afraid that if i moved some old lady would be in my face, i got angry and got up to open the light i began yelling at the empty space between the wall and the bed, ordering the noise to stop and asking at whoever was doing that, to go do it elsewhere. The noise stop...so did my heart. I went back to bed. Later that night when my boy friend returned from work, i told him about the freaky noise, he told me it was probably a tree branch scraping on the clawboard of the house. I asked him , if it was really that why had the noise stop as i yelled at it...he had no answer.

This is another one that happened to me...
I was again in my boy friend's house, i came to hate that place, again i was alone because he was working. I had just finish cleaning the house, top to bottom and was going downstairs in the livingroom to watch some tv, as i was getting near the couch, i saw two rose petals on the ground near the couch...i frowned because i had just vaccumed and a minute ago there was nothing on the ground. I picked them up and put them on the table, not thinking much of it. During a publicity spot, i run to get something to drink, as i return , again, 2 rose petals on the ground, in the exact same spot. I stop dead in the middle of the room and stared at the 2 on the table and the other 2 on the ground. I picked them up and put them on the table and looked behind the couch, under it, on it...there was nothing. I shrugged and sat down. Later on, i leave the living room, as i return there is a complete rose on the ground. I wasn't really scared...i just couldn't figure out where it came from. I picked the rose up and tried to come to a rational explanation...to this day i found none. Back than,my bf was too lazy to go and buy me one...at least i got one from a ghost...
