Ok- This may just be me (being a girl and slightly sexist) but it seems like there are a ton of regular artist on paper demon that are FEMALE. By a ton I mean over 80% of the artists I post on are girls. (This is bad math, I know, but work with my random guess for a moment here...) Anyway, I was wondering if there was someway we could run a poll to check the male vs. female ratio. The point would be to check how many artists of each gender regularly visit PD.
As a side note, I have no clue how to set this up or the "random features" that may occur if this actually has a chance of becoming a reality. Also, kitty-like curiosity is killing me here....

lol Uh-huh! It's really not a guy's world in art. It seems to apply to almost all arts. In my friend's dance company, there's a 113 girls and 2 guys. It's like that in singing too from what I've seen.
I blame a lot of it on other people. I know this one kid who is just very into arts. He's good at art, music, a lot of things in that area and SO many other kids call him "gay". I think it's people like that that make other people shy away from arts because it's aparently "gay" to a lot of teens to like to write poetry.

It's like that in sports too - you see no girls because it's all guys. I say let them have their sports, I prefer the pencil. ^ ^ Tho' I do play softball...
I totally agree on the gay thing - but I think it's more of a "manliness" factor than an art factor.

Yes..so true! I started taking Illustration classes at an art school, and strangely enough the majority of the students there are guys (especially in the comic drawing classes).
I think that whole 'fag' thing usually just applies to poetry. I know so many guys hide the fact that they love to write poetry from others because they don't want to be looked down upon. But art? Naaw. Like what was said, it's probably just something about PD
