hi everyone, i hate to bring politics on here yet again. to me this is an art site, and art is the simplest yet most complicated and detailed form of beauty. and beauty should never be sullied by something that will never be any form of happiness or joy...but i'm afraid i can't keep this one out of my head, and dramatic as i may sound right now, i speak from the bottom of my heart with the greatest of regret and hope.
I do find our government corrupt and in turmoil, and our people, neighbors, friends, family, and now our children burry their heads in the sand to avoid more stress in an already stress filled life. The government has cornered us and led us to believe that this is how we are supposed to be, that this is right. We know we are cornered in so many topics and essential decisions that keeps life equal for all but the scales are tipped to the point of breaking, never before have we seen such a division between rich and poor. Not since the great depression. Yet again we lie down and take it.
I am not a revolutionary, not because of my own will, but because of the weak wills of others, but it has been taken too far, everything has gone too far!
What brought me to this? Just one of many problem that I see, gas…oils….all revolve around money, money that is held in higher respect then human beings them selves! Each and everyone of us! We are all controlled by paper! But our form of currency is not the issue. The issue is the fact that gas will raise to about $5.00 a gallon in this coming summer! What is even more outrageous is the fact that our minimum wage is $5.00 an hour! All I can make is little over $5! For every damn hour of slave work I put in I can put in a single gallon of gas into my car! In two and a half days I can fill my tank! And in two days I have to refill that tank! My own car gets 20 miles to the gallon when it was in good shape! Realistically, it now gets 15, on good days. Just getting into town take a gallon of gas, the trip averaging about 12 miles, to and from school it takes two gallons already! This is an out rage and I will not stand idly by while we are taken advantage of!
I realize that this seems a stupid argument, unfortunately I work better when I am being argued with and can counter each topic as it comes up, and I had a conversation with a friend, that is until his computer kicked him off, but before he left we had skimmed the surface of the fact that you are screwed no matter how you look at it, so his opinion was. On one hand we have the multi billion dollar corporations that control the oil, and I use the term “control” loosely, our cars can’t operate without gas, and society can’t operate without cars. Then on the other hand you have the government that controls just what inventions are released to the public. The hybrid cars are not new! That has been invented long ago and has been perfected beyond the hybrids. But oil is depleting. And oil is a very lucrative business. Do you honestly think that a nation wide business that a nation is dependant on is going to give that up to a new innovation that needs nothing of the sort? NO!!! they are going to stress this out as far as possible, causing almost nation wide panic that the oil will soon be gone, and that a raise in price is necessary to keep the damn blood sucking bastards in business. Then when all seems lost they “conveniently” create a new car that is a brand new invention that will eventually save the nation, but the oil is still flowing at the moment, the car is imperfect, and extremely over priced. THIS IS CORPORATE AMERICA PEOPLE!! This is what you call built-in obsolescence! Created in the fifties when we were coming out of the depression and we had more money then there were things to buy! This strategy has been in motion ever since, where they mass produce a product (oh I don’t know…lets say cars!) that has a planned time that it will break, and then by that time, the broken P.O.S can be replaced by a bran-new P.O.S that is the “innovation of the century” and will brake in the same amount of planned time! Do you honestly think that with our technology, a car couldn’t be kept running, or a light bulb can’t keep burning? This is not some kaka-mainy conspiracy, you can look in any US History book and it will flat out tell you that this is a corporate strategy!
But I slightly got off topic, soon after, the fact of the Iraq war was brought to discussion. I know, what a horrible topic to fall back on, something many not only turn the other cheek to but quite frankly refuse to discuss at all. And I will be quite blunt on this, we are not saving a race, we are getting oil for a lot less now then we could when we were not playing an active role in their government. And this is about where Cody and I were disconnected. And before I waste my own time rewriting what I was going to say to him, I’ll just tell you in the exact same words after he had said that the raise in gas price was due to the Iraq war. “but that is not their fault! don't you think that they would have a reason to have attacked us in the first place? a small underdeveloped country does not attack something so monstrous and terrifying as the US just on a whim. Japan was far more further along then they were when they attacked pearl harbor! And the general at that time even said something along the lines of the calm was only be beginning before the beast is awoken. I’m not saying that this country is undefeatable, but with all the other crap that they can’t seem to do right, military is about the only thing that has not been matched yet! And Bush senior had crap going on in Iraq way before Bush Jr took office,
but the attack was the perfect disguise to finally go into the country and take full control without our own population being outraged. It was all blown out of the water after the attack, but our government twisted it to make it out that we were the victims and it was our sworn duty as a "free" country to take action and take down the imposing power, which then the operation went under the cover of "saving a nation” ”
And I’m not saying anything bad about Iraq either, but the news that I get is the news that is allowed by our government, and that is portraying Iraq as a third world country in turmoil. Which half I believe and half I don’t. I also want to say that I’m not trashing the men and women that are at “war” right now, but I do have one thing to say about them and this support the troops crap. You can not support a life in spirit only! They go out there with only the protection of penetrateble tanks and cars! They have no bullet-proof anything! And they are sent out there under the fact that they are expendable material! Their lives don’t count to our government! Only numbers do! So don’t get behind the troops! Get in front of them! They need the money and resources to fight even the falsest of wars! Not damn ribbons saying, “support the troops” SUPPORT THE LIVES THAT ARE FORCED TO BE GIVEN BECAUSE OF A GREEDY GOVERNMENT!!!
Our government was created by the people for the people! Jefferson himself believed that a nation should rise against it’s government frequently to keep it equal and in check! Checks and balance is not perfect when an entire government is corrupt with the acceptation for the individuals in them that fight for the same things I do, but they will be shot if they are so outright about it. Our government has gone too far! And I wont stand for it! I am not seeking advise but instead giving you mine. Rise against it before our government become a tyranny hiding under the false pretence of “freedom”! rise against it! And I will say my name proud in the face of an adversary! I refuse to be cornered like an animal and held down! No one should ever feel like they can’t do anything, so I implore everyone, from the deepest depths of my heart, do not let this go on

Our government was created by the people for the people!
Does this mean that we, ourselves, created this? Yes. The nature of the beast lies within our own hearts. It is not something that we can foist on the "greedy government" or "other people."
Agreed, some units do not have kevlar, flak jackets, or armored humvees. Most units on the frontlines should have class IV armor that will stop 7.62x39 rounds, the problem is that it's hard to equip an occupation force of 150,000 troops with class IV plates. Guns and rockets are cheap. Armor is expensive.
The deficit spending has got to stop. If there wasn't a national debt, we'd have another 10% or so of tax revenue which could go to fully equipping the military.
Agreed, do what you can to change what you will. That's America - the corporate people you speak about will be pushing their interests, consumer advocacy groups will be pushing their interests, environmentalist groups will be pushing theirs, and all others will be pushing their interests too - the interactions between this pushing and pulling is what makes up American politics. Whoever pushes the hardest, with the most time, effort, energy, and resources, takes the bag home at the end of the day.

i actually thought about that not too long before i wrote this ^_^ i had gotten an e-mail, it was pictures of a protest in California over the immigration act that was just recently passed so i hear. i had thought that in that case, the subject is so divided it is a toss up over what side gets the majority, and though i hate to admit it, i detested reading the e-mail, because it is yet another subject that goes unresolved in my own mind. i didn’t want to think about it, i have no problem with immigrants, so i do not think that there is such a problem, and i myself nor any close friends or family do not know some one who has immigrated themselves, so this neither speaks to my own beliefs nor my own experience. i didn't want to think about it or become involved in it because it doesn't seem to affect me, despite my thoughts that all people should be given a chance...
then i thought about the subject that i feel strongly about and thought about the general population, and in my eyes, this affects everyone, middle class, lower class, immigrants, men women and children, this is a large affect on almost everyone, because either there is a large number of immigrants and lower class people such as myself that can hardly handle the cost to live at all, and it affects the middle class as well. this isn't a topic that is split between live or die, race, or anything really, it affects almost everyone equally. the higher the income of the state the higher the gas prices. it's made to match.
i suppose i do feel more strongly about it because i live in south dakota, our severity of our income is only matched by how high prices are here in comparison, i've lived in poverty for all my life, and actually owe my own parents $800...granted they owe me $1000, but they are parents ^_^ they are allowed to borrow from me without paying it back, i live under their roof after all. so yes, in both senses i do think it affects most everyone, but probably feel so strongly about it because of how strongly it affects me and my family personally.
Yes I understand that those of us who are old enough to be responsible in the welfare of others around us are equally responsible for how our own government has turned out. But unfortunately, whether you think the government is honey-combed with conspiracies or not, there are secrets kept no matter what era you live in. secrets that are kept from other politicians and secrets that are kept from public. Honestly, yes, I can only give an educated guess about over half of what is going on in our government today, many of which I consider as I look back on the same type of crisis that had happened in the past. We may learn from our mistakes but mistakes are made repeatedly before they are learned from. And when I say that our government was created by the people and for the people, I meant it in relation the system of government that had been laid down by our forefathers. This was expected, but not planned for, government is expected to become corrupt after so long, no matter where you are, but it was not intended that our government control so many aspects of our lives.
I do appreciate what our government gives to us, under no circumstances would I prefer to live in anarchy, but as much that can be appraised there is just as much corruption. Yes checks and balance works, but only to a certain point, and I can guarantee there will always be secrets and deals in the government, and this one I feel we can actually change.

I would like to point something out about the war in Iraq, but first, I do not know how many of you have lived a military life. I am a military child living overseas. My father is deployed at the moment, and he has been for many months now. This is nothing new. Now, what I would like to point out is, what you see on stateside news isn't entirely accurate. The news programs leave out quite a bit of information. I, living overseas, get a program called AFN, or American Forces Network. We get news straight from the troops themselves. As bad as the news says everything is, it isn't. Yes, it is terrible and I hate coming home and hearing that a tank was turned over and 10 are dead. These men and women are my family. What you don't realize is, we are doing a heck of a lot of good there. How many of you have seen on the news about the Iraqi children, besides on special 60 Minutes programs? I hear about it all the time, but NOT on CBS, ABC or other stateside programs. I hear it on AFN Evening News and once on 60 Minutes.
I agree here with the ribbon thing, as cool as the ribbons are, and as much as we appreciate them and the americasupportsyou.com site, that isn't helping us all that much. It DOES raise morale. But morale alone will not save lives.

I understand that the people in the army have been helping the Iraqis a great deal, and that is one of the few things I support about the army it’s self. What I am saying is that I don’t support the army, I support the people in the army. Iraqis and Americans alike loose their lives. But the army is rune but a general, who is run by an even higher up, the troops themselves that are putting their lives on the line are sent out there by someone else. And again, government politics and officials keep secrets, secrets that eventually are exposed and are covered up by a string of half truths and lies about them keeping secrets to protect the public. I know I’m speaking in generalization and not specific dates and actions, but most everyone should know, humans are flawed. we all make mistakes, but the mistakes made in office are ones that effect us all. And again, I really do appreciate things that are done to benefit the Iraq economy and people, but we don’t get the news, we get puppet shows. We don’t know exactly what is going on and what isn’t, what is dramatized to raise rage to benefit the American cause, and what is left out to keep rebellion down. That’s how politics work, they manipulate and control in order to have things run in the direction the see fit…you’ll have to forgive me for rambling, it is 2:00 AM right now ^_^ spose I really should be heading off now. and i really hope no harm comes to you nor anyone else, feeble words i realize, but at the time they are all i can think to do

^.~ Chances of me or anyone in the base I am stationed coming to harm here is unlikely. Not in much of a dangerous position. But I see what you mean. If Bush Senior had finished this bull-crap when he was in Iraq, what? 10, 12 years ago? We wouldn't be there now. Things like this have to happen. Wouldn't life be great if we could all lounge about and be free to do whatever we want? Ya see, (Keep in mind, kitsune, my words are NOT directed towards you, so please don't take offense if you think I am aiming something at you. ^^" I tend to get worked up when I debate!) we Americans are free to cuss and drink and gamble and piss all over the government as we please because WE the people created the rules. These 3rd world countries can't. We noble military and the government have it in our minds to bring about this mighty world wide revolution. We want to bring these countries up to date with the real world. To do that, we have to blow some things up. The 3rd world people didn't want us to blow them up, but there leaders were idiots. The American government didn't like something happening in another country and decided to fix it. Now my personal opinion has noticed that many people complain about this war. I do not fully appreciate it as I am sure the Iraqis and others lack in appreciation. They like us helping them, but they want it done their way. Many Americans I have met or debated with seem to say that they don't want this war to happen for their own stupid wishes. Many Americans don't seem to realize that peace only comes about when you FIGHT for it. How do you think we earned our freedom?
(Feel free to ask for translation or clarification, for I know that I make little sense sometimes...-_-" I get good thoughts but have a hard time explaining myself in an intelligible way.)
