I have a question and it may sound kind of silly...

But what are the commissions and how do they work??

Commisions... They're when you ask someone to draw or paint something for you. I suppose you could ask them to write something too but... Anywho. You usually pay them a fee (whatever their rates are- it depends on the artist and how you want it. Colored, sketched, ect.) Of course some people may just do it out of the kindness of their hearts (but not many). If you want for in depth info. I suggest you ask someone who does take commisions. I hope I helped a little though. [emoticon]

Yeah- the great thing about commissions is that you can state what the picutre looks like, so you can get one of you r fav character doing what ever you want, by the artist you like. Small catch is that whole thing about asking money for it, but if you get the right artist, you'll get a good deal for your money [emoticon] Most beginner commishers seem to start at $20 US, and goes up from there abouts. I've gotten commissions that cost $100 or more before, but those artists do put alot of detail in so it can be worth it. I've had a *few* bombs before, but you get that... ^^;

Nothing is a silly question unless you should know allready. If you're new with art or comissions and stuff then people dictacting prices and stuff can be a little scarey. I was a little freakked out with getting my first commish done. There are ins and outs with it. It's not like you're asking what a pencil is or anythign [emoticon]

Changed topic name from "Small Question" to "What are commissions?"

Pretty much every thread posted in this forum is a question so please give threads more descriptive names [emoticon]
