About

Hmm...about Lisa.  Well, I'm 26 and originally from Texas though I don't live there any longer (And no, I do not have an accent.  It's the scandal of my family because I apparently 'talk like a yankee'. ^_^ )

I drew a lot as a young child.  I remember that my kindergarten teacher was particularly impressed with my ducks.  Personally, comparing them to my own five year old's ducks, I would say they were far less than impressive as far as kindergarten art goes.  But then, this is the same teacher who didn't like my winter pictures because snow is not supposed to be blue.  Clearly she knew nothing about art.   (Yes, I was traumatized by that.  It's practically the only thing I remember from kindergarten.  And I still paint snow blue.  Ha!)

I stopped drawing pretty much out of kindergarten but picked it back up again when I was eleven because my best friend drew so I did too.  Because we were like peas and carrots and all that jazz.  I didn't get that obsession we artists are famous for until about mid way through highschool.  I still was only drawing characters on a blank backgound until my early twenties when I decided to take up watercolors.  This was partly because of being told bluntly that if I was serious about my art, I had to start working with color and drawing backgrounds...by several people within a short period. (Thanks Donna).

And there you have it.  I've been painting and doing the whole background thing or whatever for about six years now. You know my history now.  Other things of importance:

I love chocolate but it gives me migraines. [emoticon]

I hate marshmallows but find them weirdly addictive.

I hate wearing socks but have to wear them because my feet are perpetually cold.  Therefore I wear the craziest ones I can find.  I love crazy socks. <3

I like to study/read about quantum and theoretical physics in my spare time.  Seriously.  The stuff is fascinating.

I like Star Trek.  Even the original series.

I like just about every fantasy movie that's ever been made, even if it sucks.

I still read faerie tales.

I always forget to proofread which is why I'm now back editing the embarrassing typos out of this.  I probably still missed some. Meh.
