Hello, folks!  I'm Micah and I'm an amateur artist.  I tend toward anime/manga styles mostly because that's where my interests lie.  I've been doing this for about seven years now, give or take, and while I'm gradually improving, I feel as if I still have a lot to learn.

I'm currently the artist for a webcomic called War of the Roses.  I'm still new to the comic business in general, and the entire comic is a learning experience for me.  The first few pages are pretty bad, but I can see a comparative increase in my ability as the comic progresses.  I'm still learning and it definitely shows.  But at the same time I realize my regular illustrations are much better. 

I spend most of my free time drawing or playing video games.  I used to play WoW, but I have since cancelled my account after burning out.  I may come back to it with the next expansion.

On the side, I am a graduate student in History, an emphasis in Asia. Currently, my main interests are in China and Japan, but I also have a growing interest in India.  I speak/read conversational Japanese and have a beginner's level understanding of Chinese.  Still plodding along in the latter while unfortunately growing rustier and rustier with the former.
