Ziggy vs. PaintsAlternate Universe, Drabbles, Blurbs, Free Writes, Fantasy, General, Humor, Male/Male - Shounen-Ai, One Shots, Original FictionI figure since I'm kind of dominating the whole sight submission and content wise I might as well add a writing thing too. This is from a potential story idea that needs a lot of work. I mostly just like writing character shenanigans. Ziggy comes from a world with no color where everything is pretty much terrifying and awful. Cody comes from Michigan. They're alarmingly similar. Hades's StoryAdventure, Alternate Universe, Fantasy, Original Fiction, RomanceThis story is about Hades and his struggles to win Persephone's heart. There may be mature content in the future, but for now, it's safe. Blog: Medical Scare (major TMI alert)Mar 23, 2012 8:42 pm I guess here would also be a good place to put all of this information up for maybe future reference. I'm also kind of bored and waiting for the next episode of Scrubs to load. So here we go. Since last November, I've been experiencing a lot of discomfort in my pelvic area. My lower back, stomach, and hip area have been in rather minor but incredibly constant pain, that's been getting increasingly worse, and gets nearly unbearable when I start my period. Unable to take it anymore, I went to my doctor. Since I am uninsured, I have to cough up 45 bucks every time I want to see him. Regardless, toward the beginning of March, I saw him and explained my problems. He said it's entirely possible I have dermoid cysts (basically cysts on the ovaries that are fairly harmless) or endometryosis (a condition where cells from the lining in the uterus start growing in other places). Both of these things, as well as various ladypart cancers, all run in my family, so he ordered some tests for me. Bloodwork, and an ultra sound. In the meantime, he prescribed me what is basically fancy Pamprin and sent me on my way. Over the course of the month, I've done both of those tests. Today I found out both of them came back normal. The fancy Pamprin hasn't really been doing much for the pain either. I'm a little discouraged right now, but I intend to make an appointment with my gynecologist as soon as possible, since that is apparently "the next step". Unfortunately, since all of this took so long, I'll probably be starting my period soon and won't be able to see her until after I'm finished. Regardless, according to my mom (who knows far more about this crap than I do), just getting an appointment with my gyno will take two to three weeks anyway, since she only works two days a week and takes a lot of patients in that time. In addition to all of this, the bloodwork and the ultrasound cost me about 530 dollars. Luckily, I was given paperwork for HCAP (Hospital Care Assistance Program), which Mom thinks will cover the expenses entirely. I hope she's right, I just paid off a ridiculous bill for school, I don't really want to go back down that road. Either way I just sort of wanted a place to put all of this in one place, and like I said, I'm mostly killing time while Scrubs loads. That's all. |
