There was a certain look in his eyes that always tore her heart. It was rare that she saw it- he
was usually the master of his emotions. So much so that at first she'd thought he really felt nothing more
than anger or hate. But one night after the GR had exploded with him inside he finally woke from his coma
he had had that very same look in his eyes. It was worse than defeat that shone in his eyes. That haunting
expression changed her view of him completely and instead of avoiding him she had begun seeking him
out as part of her wanted nothing more than to discover what troubled him so deeply and possibly do
something to correct the situation.
Oddly enough her new attention seemed to completely unnerve him and somehow aroused
suspicion in him. Now it was he who was avoiding her. She sighed from her seat at the kitchen table.
She watched him as he stood outside of the GR and stared at it with that haunted expression altering his
features.
