My take on the end of the Inu-Yasha saga: Miroku and Sango finally consummating their relationship.

I'm a hopeless romantic, I guess.  I was listening to Sheena Easton's "For Your Eyes Only" one day on the radio, and I thought, "Wow, that's pretty appropriate for Miroku and Sango."  Both of them held things back from the other for a long time, both of them are scarred from their experiences, and neither of them looked like a lock to survive the series at all.  We were fairly certain that, of the Inuyasha/Kagome/Kikyo triangle, Kikyo would probably be the odd one out.  (Rumiko Takahashi's a little predictable that way.)  But as the manga wore on, it looked like Miroku and Sango might not make it.

Luckily for us, Takahashi's also a hopeless romantic, and make it they did.  Now there's no barriers between them.  Both of them had seen something in the other that no one else did...and now they can act on that love.  

So here they are.  Note Miroku's left hand.  Some things never change.
