The Hands of Christ

Posted: Jan 7, 2007 1:29 am

This was my final for my 3D class last year. I just found this picture again today and decided to post it. This final was an IP (Independent Project); in essence, we were allowed to pick our medium and content. I loved working with clay (and it was the only free medium we had to work with! [emoticon] ) I decided to do the hands of Christ becuase I've always wanted to make hands of clay, and what are some of the most recognizable hands? Right [emoticon] I really love how these came out; I'm not thrilled with the right hand as it looks bulky, but I still loved them. I made the cross in the background from my rosebush; just clipped some thorns and made it (its base is clay as well). Oh, and those little guys next to the hands were made by my cubby mate; they're not mine [emoticon] These have since been fired; if I can get to them, I'll post a new picture (but a pinky has been broken off!)
