manatee

this is a manatee i saw in a creek near my house. it came up and started eating grass of the side of the bank, and i actaully got to rub it's nose for a good five minutes. it didnt pay any attention to me. lol. ive wanted to be a zoologist since i was 5 so for me this was an amazing experiance. i called florida fish and wildlife conservation and they say that they used to relocate them but they would always find them in the same creek a few days later so they dont relocate them anymore. i realized that it was heading towards the st. johns river, so i think that is were it was trying to get to. they assured me it would be alright.
also, im no phjotographer. lol, and its hard to take pics of something under water when your above water, i think they came out okay though.
