This is a translation of a song from 'Les Cowboys Fingants' called 'Plus rien' or Nothing more in english. I admit in french its nicer because all the lines rimes. The music is sad and throughout the songs you can hear a heart beating, the heart stop at the end. The singer has so much emotions in his voice that it is impossible not to be touched by this song. I mean, even the thoughest of man can have goosebumps while listening to it. I wish you could hear it even if its in french its worth it, just to hear the emotions.

Nothing More
There is only a few more minutes left of my life
Maybe a few hours but i know i'm getting weaker
Yesterday in the middle of the desert my brother died
I am now the last human on earth
When i was a child i got to know
What the planet looked like many many years ago
When lived the parents of my great grand parents
when snow still fell in winter.
In these days we lived by the rhythm of the season
Where the end of summer brought the fruits of the earth
Animals came to drink from streams
where a pure and clear water still flowed
But me i saw only a dead planet:
Lunar landscape and suffocating heat
All my friends died of hunger and thirst
Falling like falls the rain
Until there was nothing more
Everything started a long long time ago
When my ancestors were blinded by pieces of paper they called money
who brought them power and riches
These new gods would stop at nothing
they would do everything to gain more
they shaved the earth polluted the air and dried the rivers
After a century, some opened their eyes
warning the gods they had to stop everything
But they didn't head the warning
for their language was of gains and profits
Its years later they understood the foolishness of their acts
In panic they declared the global state of emergency
When the oceans ate the islands
And great flood destroyed the cities.
Afterward came the tornadoes and inferno
Earthquake and the great dryness
On all faces everywhere distress could be read
Humanity had to fight the pandemics
Killed by millions by awful diseases
The survivors died of hunger and thirst
Falling like falls the rains
Until there was nothing more
Yesterday in the middle of the desert my brother died

In the end this great intelligence we were given
was just a poisoned gift
Because there is only a few more minutes left of my life
Maybe a few hours but i know i'm getting weaker
I cant walk anymore, even less breath...
