Forgotten memories - Chapter 2

Sine ran back to where the others were. Spider motioned him to come on. “We have to hurry up before the old bat finds out we’re gone.” Sine nodded as they all raced though the humongous crowd. They made it back to the overcrowded orphanage a couple minutes later. Kaladin was the first to head his way up the rusty pipe Sine noticed he had a small bag tied to his waist.

Spider seemed to notice Ryu on his shoulder. “Hey who is the new teammate?” Spider joked as he petted Ryu. Sine replied looking down a bit, “His name is Ryu…… I was wondering if I could keep him spider I mean……..He was a stray and-“But before he could finish Spider nodded his head and started to crawl up the pole. Sine smiled at Ryu he looked up and watched Spider scale up the pole without ease. Sine put one hand on the pole and started up Ryu suddenly tensed up and hissed. Sine looked at the flustered cat and smiled, “Don’t worry were almost-“

All the Sudden the Pipe broke from the wall! Kaladin screamed as he watched his brother dangle 30 feet above ground. Sine Screamed as his feet left the pipe. Spider raced back to try and grab the pipe but it was out too far. Siege held onto the back of Spider to make sure he didn’t fall off the edge. Sine’s hands started getting sweaty and tired Ryu had climbed up and over to Kaladin who was now pouring tears. Sine tried to move his hands upward but he didn’t notice the sharp piece of metal Blood rushed out of the wound after it sliced deep into his skin. He let out a scream and let go of the pipe. Sine could feel the sense of ground approaching after the first few seconds of falling. He thought this is where I am going to die? This is it? Sine’s pale blue eyes rolled into the back of his head and his mind faded into darkness.

    Sine awoke to darkness. He glanced around and noticed the black figure was standing over him only he could see the features this time. It was a boy with soot black hair with silver highlights who was wearing a black cloak and had his right hand had a strange tattoo on it.  The boy grinned and hissed, “Hello brother are you feeling alight?” Sine looked confused at the boy. “W-who are you? Why did you call me your brother I am not your brother.” The boy stood up and flicked his hair. Sine stared as the boy looked much older than he appeared. “Hm…….then you don’t know do you?” He pointed right at the place Sine’s heart was. “Right there. We are connected.” Sine Starred at where he pointed and looked up still confused. The boy shook his head. “You are so slow little brother.” The boy Started to walk away Sine got up and yelled after him, “Who are you?!” The boy turned around and smirked, “The darkness…………”

Sine eyes shot open with Siege, Kaladin, and Spider above him. They all looked horrified as Sine sat up. Sine looked at his hand and it was all healed. Siege sat up and punched Sine. Sine flew back and screamed “WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!?!” Siege looked down and shot Sine an angry look, “You aren’t normal you mutant.”

Sine stared trying to absorb all the information he was given and now this?! Sine screamed, “What do you mean?!!?!” Kaladin stood up next to Siege and hid behind him. Spider still sat looking horrified as the war continued. “You Fell 30 feet and your arms were disjointed and you landed on this!” Siege held up a piece of sharp metal. “This went right though you and you aren’t dead not to mention you are all healed!!!!! Explain that!!!!!” Sine was now horrified and grabbed Spider. “Spider trust me I don’t know what going on!!!!” Spider looked down. Sine turned swiftly to Kaladin.

“Brother you believe me right?!?” Kaladin’s eyes were stained with tears, “You are not my brother anymore Sine………Siege is…….he offered to take care of me…..I am sorry.” Sine could feel the tears weld up then he felt a familiar swoosh of fur sweep past his arm. It was Ryu.

Sine picked up the black cat and screamed, “Fine I hate you all!!!” Sine sprinted away from the gang and out onto the street dodging cars and pedestrians. Spider glanced after him, “Sine……” Spider got up and stated to head after him but Siege shot a sharp word at Spider. “If you go after him you are no longer welcome here either!!” Spider turned around then said, “I don’t care……..” With that he turned and headed into the city of dangers after his best friend. While from behind the tree stood the Boy with silver streaks with a screwdriver and rusty screws from the pipe. “Now brother I will help you realize your past all you needed was a little push.” Then the boy turned around and disappeared into the darkness.
