Bryan standing in the rubble of an old castle- the world is a wasteland. Bryan is battle ready, but it’s not too apparent just yet cause you can’t see the battle. He’s rounding up villagers to safety looking behind him

<Memories- Years had passed since I had last visited these walls.>

<Home>

<I had cried every night since the Drakobitus raped our world of most of it life>

<How he turned it into the cold, wasteland it is now- tainting our air with the musty metallic smell of dried blood and dust>

<My people scattered in fear, hoping to lower the chance of being caught>

<I had never felt so scared in my life>

Panel 1: Inset panel: Bryan’s hand gripping his sword so tightly, his hand bleeds. It’s raised up to slash

<…or so angry>

Panel 2: rest of page- Bryan looks around 15 years old, wearing a worn set of armor, probably taken from a dead comrade. He still wears his crown through his belt now- too small for him. Other than the armor, he looks a little blood splatten, but otherwise in good condition. Bryan slashes the sword, throwing 6 Luquahlians back with the force of ear splitting wind.

Panel 1:

Battle is happening over an area of ruins. Blaze is handling 3 Luquahlians at once. Bryan’s attack left a slash in the ground. Other men are also fighting them, a few against one Luquahlian.

<Many years have past since the Drakobitus destroyed our sky>

<I sacrificed my crown for my sword- fine tuning my control over air>

<My Father said I should’ve be about 15- it was honestly hard to tell.>

Panel 2:

Blaze kills one Luquahlian

<He told me he was running out of time>

Panel 3:

Blaze kills another Luquahlian

<”The two of us,” he said, “we are like candles burning brightly in a blaze of glory”>

Panel 4:

Blaze kills last Luquahlian

<”We purge out all darkness and shadow until we burn out”>

Panel 1:

Drakobitus looms over the fight on the top of one of the ruin walls. He’s watching Bryan’s fight with interest- maybe sizing up the future competition. Bryan at this point is poised in mid swing of his next target. He is wildly enraged.

<I didn’t need to have much intelligence to figure out what that meant>

<My Father wasn’t going to be a threat to the Drakobitus for much longer>

Panel 2:

Leaping panel

Panel 3:

Drakobitus lands on ground, still watching Bryan

<”Watch your back, Bryan”, he said>

Panel 4:

Drakobitus is behind Bryan, drawing his sword- very inevitable picture.

<Cause he may be behind you>

Panel 1:

Swinging panel

Panel 2:

Drakobitus wraps his sword around Bryan’s neck. His free hand grabs Bryan’s sword hand,

Drakobitus “Dragon boy”

Panel 3:

Drakobitus swings Bryan around to face him.

Panel 4:

Drakobitus is in front of Bryan, a frown on his face. Bryan is still slightly surprised,

Panel 5:

Panel on Drakobitus with glowing eyes

Drakobitus “You are destined to destroy me? Don’t make me laugh”

[Don’t panic, Bryan]

[You weren’t destined to fight him alone]

Panel 6: Bryan starts to show signs of fear

Drakobitus “You can’t even focus your hate for me into courage”

Panel 7:

Blaze notices Drakobitus threatening Bryan

Panel 8:

Blaze abandons his post and bolts towards the two. His face is full of panic

Blaze- “BRYAN!”

Panel 1:

Drakobitus readies his sword to impale Bryan’s chest. Bryan tries to free himself from Drakobitus’s grip, but can’t- his eyes are widened. Drakobitus is chanting something to himself.

[I had never been this close to the Drakobitus before- my Father used to always keep me at arms length away.]

Panel 2:

Skinny panel of a flame rushing by fading off over the next panel

Panel 3:

Close up of Bryan’s facial expression- His eyes are panicked as he somehow manages to pull his arm free of the Drakobitus’s spell

Panel 4:

Bryan’s hand flys up to Drakobitus’s face just as the sword is about pierces his heart. A flame lights up behind him. The Drakobitus’s eyes glow as his hand grabs for Bryan’s shoulder. Drakobitus’s hand is glowing also

[Just far enough that he can’t touch me]

Panel 1:

The sword plunged into Bryan and Blaze behind him, who has engulfed the two of them in flames. Both of their faces show extreme pain. Drakobitus has a wince about him- his fingers aren’t grabbing Bryan’s shoulder so much now. Blaze is chanting a spell in Latin.

[Voratium Animus- Drakobitus’s ability to devour your soul.]

Panel 2:

Panel of just Drakobitus’s hand extremely tense, like they are in A LOT of pain. His gloves are melting

[I felt his fingers brush the surface of my soul, just for a moment.]

Panel 3:

Drakobitus’s hand retreats to the sword,

[I my whole body went numb from his cold touch]

Panel 4:

Slicing it down Bryan’s body

[I could feel self doubt flood my mind]

Panel 5:

Nearly to the end- Bryan’s shirt is being cut, but all you see is glow along the wound- no blood.

Panel 1:

The sword swings away from the two as it leaves their body. Drakobitus drops the blade. Blaze is barely holding his grip on his son’s back- his flame is gone now. Bryan has tears in his eyes from the pain. Drakobitus is silhouetted on the side of the panel

(Blaze pants heavily)

Sword lands on the ground

Drakobitus- “You fool”

Panel 2: Small panel

Drakobitus slaps Blaze’s face sideways

Panel 3:

Blaze lands on the ground as Bryan and Drakobitus watch

Panel 4:

Drakobitus steps on Blaze’s chest,

Panel 1:

Drakobitus points at Bryan, as he looks down at Blaze- Blaze’s armor is deactivated. He’s very incoherent.

Drakobitus “This waste of an Arkillian Dragon soul isn’t your Dragon of Light. He is driven by blind anger and fear.

“He is worthless”

Panel 2:

Blaze’s eyes look up- suddenly there’s some life in his expression

Blaze “Dragon of Light or not, his love for his country is far stronger than you can ever imagine”

               “He is far more deserving than I to see this world for what it truly can be.”

Panel 3:

Blaze pushes himself off the ground with a challenging grin

Blaze “And for that, I’d gladly sacrifice myself”

Blaze trips Drakobitus

Onto the ground

Blaze flicks around to his feet- he’s just starting to catch on fire

Panel 1:

Blaze is now standing in a straddle with Equity- his body is in flames. Bryan is beside him poised with his sword also.

Blaze “Besides, there’s one important factor you seem to be missing, Drakobitus”

               “Whether or not Bryan is the prophesized Dragon is not unimportant,”

Panel 2:

Wide panel- Drakobitus going to stand, sword pointing at him.

Blaze “I am more than a capable enough of killing you.”

Panel 3

Blaze bends down to Drakobitus- sword still to the Drakobitus’s neck. Fire is brewing around him

Blaze “The sky cries for you no more, Drakobitus. Our war ends NOW”
