The air was still so hot, even though night was approaching. Danya had been staring up at the sky for what seemed like hours, until she was finally jerked back to reality by Bryan’s voice. “Danya! Danya!”

Danya turned her attention to Bryan, “Yeah?”

“You know, we have been training all day, I think you should be training too.” Bryan sat next to Danya, “What’s bothering you? If it’s that boy…”

Danya cut him off as she stood up, “That boy is connected to me somehow.” She looked directly into Bryan’s eyes, his eyes widen a bit, from the look in her eye…anger.  “He might be able to help me figure out where I came from, why I have this scar.” Danya held up her right arm and examined the deep scar she had, had for what seemed like forever.  “He…”  Danya’s eyes started to moisten.

“I know.” Bryan stood up and rested his hand on Danya’s shoulder, “But don’t worry about that now, your team needs you. We really need to pass these exams and I’m sure we can ask that Makoto kid all about it after these tests, ok?”

Bryan’s smile reassured Danya, “Alright, I guess I can try to worry about it later.” She followed Bryan until they both met up with Ryan.

“Geeze what took you two so long? You better not have been makin’ out!” Ryan got in Danya’s face, “Because you know you’re only supposed to do that with me!” Ryan’s hands instantly rested on Danya’s hips as he started to pucker up his lips and move in to kiss Danya.

Danya’s hand immediately rose and blocked the kiss while shoving Ryan away and knocking him to the ground. “Stay down! You know, I could get a workout just from dodging your lame pickup lines and feisty hands!” Danya stood above Ryan, “When will you learn?”

“Well when will you start wearing skirts?” Ryan spun around and rested his head on Danya’s feet. “I’m on the ground so much, I wish I could get a peek of something!”

Danya glared at Ryan, then kicked his head, “You’re such a perv!”

“Ok you two!” Bryan decided it was time to step in, “I think we should train some more, we don’t have much time left, the sun is already going down.”

Ryan began to stand up “Sure.” Danya nodded her head and agreed. “Let’s get started.”

Back in town Tausha was yelling at Makoto and Ken, “What took you two so long! I was waiting her forever!”

Makoto apologized and explained that he was late because he had to get their Chunin exams forms. While Ken just blamed it on the hot ladies that just happened to cross his path.

“Guys do we really have to take these Chunin exams? I mean come on, isn’t being a Genin good enough?” Ken was complaining as usual.

“Ken, me and Makoto want to be better ninja’s, you just have to come because…. I’m telling you to.” Tausha stood firm and looked directly into Ken’s eyes, “You have to have a team of three to enter these exams, so have to be there.”

“Really?” An evil smile appeared across Ken’s face. “So what are you going to do for me if I enter?” His hand slowly drifted for Tausha’s chest.

Tausha caught Ken’s hand in midair and twisted it, then with her free hand she quickly grabbed his arm and pressed hard with her thumb deep into his inner elbow.

“Ahh!” Kens knees buckled and he fell to the ground, “Ok! Ok! I’ll do it!”

Tausha let go, “Good boy.”

Ken took turns rubbing his elbow then wrist, “You know, when your inflicting me with massive pain, you look really hot.”

Tausha turned around to punch Ken, but he quickly dodged it catching her hand and pulling her to the ground. In an instant he had flipped her over and jumped on top of her, he instinctively took a hold of her hands and pinned her down. Leaning right into her face he whispered, “Are you as turned on as I am?”

Tausha smiled and batted her eyes, “Not really.” Her knee came up with lightning speed and nailed Ken right in the tailbone, he flew off of her almost instantly. Tausha stood up and prepared herself to attack Ken again, but Makoto stopped her.

“As funny as it is to watch you hurt Ken, it’s getting dark and I want to go home.” Makoto’s face seemed emotionless.

Ken got up and walked over to join the conversation. Makoto seemed to glare at him, then started to pass out their Chunin exams slips. “You two fill these out and meet me in front of the Academy tomorrow morning at sunrise.” He turned and started to walk away, “Don’t be late.”

“Why?” Ken had a smirk on his face. “What will happen if we are late?”

“You will miss that Blonde and Black hair chick.” Tausha said with a smirk. “I think she kinda likes you.”

Ken’s head started to swell up. He then grunted a bit while resting his arms on his head. “Yep, yep, I know she can’t resist me.”

Tausha groaned and started to walk off, not before she noticed Makoto’s face. “Hey, what’s wrong?”

“That girl just bugs me.”

Tausha didn’t press the matter when Makoto walked off to his house. Tausha sighed, she wondered if Makoto had any relations with that girl. ‘Oh well.’ She thought as she started off in a different direction. She waved bye to Ken as he went off to.

Later that night.

Ryan and Bryan walked over to their training area to see if Danya was still there. They cut through a couple of bushes, took a right when they hit a drinking stream, and went straight. When they finally got there, the moon shone down on the area, and there sitting in the open, staring at the full moon. Was Danya. She was deep in thought.

Bryan was about to head over to her when Ryan stopped. “Let’s see what happens.”

Bryan stared at Ryan. Sometimes Ryan acts such a Lech! But…he is mature and serious once in a while. Bryan only nodded and started to watch Danya.

Both boys almost jumped and screamed when someone tapped them on the shoulder. The whipped around ready for anything. But where stopped by that boy that made Danya feel this way. “What are you doing here?!” Hushed Bryan.

Makoto got annoyed. “This happens to be my spot where I come to meditate.”

“Sure it is pal,” Ryan sneered. “Can you see we are busy.”

“Busy at what?” Makoto looked around there shoulder and saw that Danya girl sitting in the middle of the area staring at the moon. “What is she doing?”

Bryan and Ryan sighed and looked back at Danya. “Don’t know, she is properly thinking of her past.”

Makoto looked at Ryan. “What do you mean her past?”

Bryan looked at Makoto with a sneer. “I don’t think that is any of your business.”

It's hard to remember
In summer or winter
When she hasn't been there for me

All three boys stood ridged at Danya spoke softly and suddenly…

‘This song…’  Makoto thought, he then turned to the two others.  “Why is she singing?”

Bryan turned to Danya and spoke softly with tender. “She said that was her mother’s lullaby that her mother sang to her.” Makoto gave him a look. “Danya can only remember her mother’s face and that song. Other than that, she has no memory of what happened to her.”

Makoto turned towards Danya.

A friend a companion
I can always depend on
My mother
That's who I mean

I've taken for granted
The seeds that she planted
She's always behind everything'

A teacher a seeker
A both arms outreached
My mother
That's who I mean

Bryan almost couldn't take it anymore, if Ryan wasn't holding on his arm he would be over by Danya's side in a second, but Bryan knew that Ryan was have a difficult time also not to go over there also.

Wish I could slow down the hands of time
And keep things the way they are
If she said so I would give her the world
If I could. . . I would

My love and my laughter
From here ever after
Is all that she says that she needs

Makoto watched as the boys went over to her.

My friend and companion
I can always depend on
My mother
That's who I mean
My mother
That's who I mean. . . that's who I mean

Both Bryan and Ryan then hugged Danya tightly who hugged them back.

Makoto walked up to the three leaf village ninja’s. “That song you were singing, I’ve heard it before.”

Danya stood up almost instantly and looked at Makoto, “Why are you doing this to me?”

“I’m not doing anything to you” Makoto took a step towards Danya, “I just find it odd that you can perform a technique that I thought could only be used by my families blood line.” He seemed to be peering deep into Danya’s soul. “And now you sing a lullaby that’s very familiar to me. So how is that you wear a leaf village headband and not one from the sand?”

Danya’s heart sunk to her stomach as her gaze fell to the ground. “I don’t know.”

Bryan took a step forward, “Sorry kid but she’s not telling you anything.” He placed his hand on Danya’s shoulder, “Makoto was is? Well right now, you’re our enemy and from what I’ve learned it’s not smart to give your enemy too much information about yourself.”

“That’s right! Now why don’t you just go home. I’m pretty sure you don’t want to start something with us the night before the exams.” Ryan decided to speak up too.

Makoto’s expression remained unchanged as he turned his back to the three of them, “Don’t you think it’s odd Danya? That you would choose to relax in the same area that I like to meditate in?” He looked at her over his shoulder, “Then again it could just be coincidence.”

Danya watched as Makoto disappeared through the bushes. “He really is annoying.”

Ryan hugged Danya from behind, ‘It’s ok now, the creepy kids gone and now I’m here for ya.”

“Yeah, Yeah.” Danya let Ryan comfort her, “Just keep your hands where I can see them.”
