There are so many of these theme OneShots going around FanFiction that I couldn't resist. I had to do one myself. Anyway, I'm not a good authoress (as a matter of fact, I'm horrible at it) but I really like to share my writing with others, so here goes nothing… By the way, Sesshomaru may (will) act really out of character in here (I find it impossible to make him act in character).

50 Themes :Sesshomaru X Kagome:
When Sango asked her what she thought of Sesshomaru, Kagome answered back without hesitation, “Why, he's Inuyasha older half-brother of course.” Funny how she never really put too much thought into him.
Sometimes, Sesshomaru seem so out of her reach that Kagome forgot that he is also a person with a living body. Imagine her surprise when she saw the blood pouring out of his gaping wound.
Even though he was the enemy, Kagome couldn't help but jump to her feet and requested that she bandage his arm. She even ignored the stares from her friends.
After his arm had finished healing, Sesshomaru couldn't help but stay longer then needed. And when Rin fell sick, his excuse worked out perfectly. Even though Sesshomaru cared about Rin very much, he couldn't help but wished that she wasn't recovering as fast as she was. And when Rin was all healthy again, he knew it was time to leave.
Months after leaving, Sesshomaru still couldn't stop his eyes from looking around the area around him, hoping to catch a glimpse of the time-traveling priestess. He wanted to crush the feeling of disappointment when he noticed she wasn't there. Why would she be there?
Sesshomaru decided to take matters to his own hands and stormed (unnoticeably) into his half-brother's camp, just to check up on the priestess. Then he wondered why she wasn't there.
After climbing out of the well and heading back towards where she knew the camp was, Kagome was extremely surprised to see Sesshomaru leaning against the tree. He must have been holding a silent truce with his brother, was what Kagome was thinking when she noticed that Inuyasha wasn't trying to pull out Sesshomaru's insides like usual. She was even more surprised when Sesshomaru's eyes met hers, and just like that, he got up and left. Kagome wondered why he hated her so much.
Kagome couldn't stop herself from staring at Sesshomaru whenever she could. It wasn't long before she realized that she was falling for him just by watching his every movement.
Kagome knew that she had done the most foolish thing in her life by falling for the demon lord. After insisting that she was perfectly fine to her worried friend, Kagome went to the edge of the lake and cried. She cried tears of loneliness and when she looked up and saw Sesshomaru standing near the lake, staring at her, she knew that she never was truly alone.
With the aid of his demonic eyes, Sesshomaru could tell she was lifting her head, and he also knew that with his demonic speed, he could easily escape from the area without her knowing. But he didn't. And when Kagome's eyes met his, he didn't make the move to run away then.
Kagome couldn't help thinking, as her gaze was holding onto hers, that his eyes reminded her of sunsets. She always loved the sunset.
He was surprised to recognize the feeling that he was experiencing when he stared back at her. He was feeling whole, as if there was nothing more missing in his life. Then, he wondered what she was thinking when she stared back.
Neither of them really wanted to move from the spot, but knew that there really was nothing else they could do. Without another word, both of them got up and walked away from each other. They regretted each step that they took.
It must have been a coincidence when they met again, a few months later, in the exact same spot.
They were both non-believers of fate, but when they kept running into each other, both of them wondered if there was a thing called fate. During their fifth run-in, both of them wondered which one of them was following the other.
Kagome couldn't believe herself when she told Inuyasha that she sensed a shard towards the north. Only Miroku suspected that maybe it wasn't a shard that Kagome was following. And when he asked Kagome, Kagome realized that fate didn't exist; she was making it happen.
Naraku had decided to hide himself again and no one could find out where he was. Jaken made a mistake by asking Sesshomaru if they were just wandering aimlessly trying to catch Naraku's scent. Sesshomaru sent him a glare shared by death and only realized, as he caught the priestess's scent in the air that he really wasn't wandering the country aimlessly. He noticed that there was no such thing as fate.
Kagome decided to confront Sesshomaru later that night. She secretly followed his aura and when she saw him in the clearing, she instantly froze. Her search was over.
Sesshomaru never realized how much the priestess liked to talk. And when he asked her why she enjoyed talking so much she answered him by saying that she was talking for the both of them. He wanted to tell her that perhaps she was talking so much leaving him no room to fill the air with his words, when he realized that it was true. He never talked.
“Love is a pathetic emotion,” Sesshomaru pointed out to Kagome one secret night when asked for his opinion on the subject. And when he saw her crushed look, he felt a strange uncomfortable tightening around his throat. He didn't take back what he said though.
One night, when Kagome came with a running nose, and puffy red eyes, he asked her what was wrong. She told him that her grandfather had died a couple months ago and she just recently found out. “I'm a coward,” she told him and when he disagreed, she pointed out she wouldn't have run away to the Federal Era if she wasn't. Sesshomaru embraced her, hoping that maybe he could share some of her pain with her.
Inuyasha almost panicked when he woke up one night and noticed that Kagome wasn't in her usual sleeping bag. He then grew suspicious when he noticed that Kagome would just disappear in the middle of the night. After third night, he made up his mind. He was going to follow her.
Inuyasha couldn't help but feel betrayed when he saw her with his half-brother. What could Sesshomaru give her that he couldn't?
Sesshomaru realized that Inuyasha was a cruel being. How could one push Kagome to the verge of tears and still be yelling? Sesshomaru punched him.
When Kagome explained to Inuyasha what truly was happening between her and Sesshomaru, he couldn't help but noticed how happy she seemed. He gave his brother an understanding look. Kagome was much happier with Sesshomaru.
Kagome remembered Sesshomaru's answer on his opinion about love. She realized that her feeling for him was just completely one-sided. And even thought it hurts, she didn't mind that much, since being friends with Sesshomaru was as close as she was going to get with him.
Kagome decided since Inuyasha already knew about her and Sesshomaru, she thinks that her other friends also deserve the right to know. And when she told the others about him, none of them seemed quite that surprised. It wasn't long before Sesshomaru agreed to travel with them. It seems that they would all defeat Naraku together.
Finally, they had found Naraku and while they all confronted him, they realize that all of them have different reasons to want the death of Naraku. However, they all have one thing in common; they all know that this is (without a doubt) that this is the final battle. All of them started at one another and the battle starts.
Naraku was a lot tougher then any of them had anticipated. And when they finally won, Sesshomaru couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. He then sucked the same relief back when his eyes landed on Kagome. Kagome, who was lying on the ground in a pool of her own blood. Her face was pale white and Sesshomaru could tell that several of her ribs were broken. After staring at her for a couple of seconds, Sesshomaru realized that his breathing and heartbeat was going faster than normal. It took another couple of seconds to realize that he was scared.
And even though Kagome was improving (slowly, but improving, nonetheless), Sesshomaru couldn't help but feel worried about her.
While the rest of her comrades were away getting various herbs for the still sleeping Kagome, Sesshomaru decided to stay with here. And he was still there when she finally woke up after three months. He didn't know what else to do, so he kissed her.
Neither Sesshomaru nor Kagome could forget about the kiss. And then, one night when they both went to get some dinner to eat, a thunderstorm caught up and trapped them both in a cave. Cold and wet, they did the only thing they could do to warm up. And when the rest of the gang found them the next morning (without their clothing on nonetheless), they found that they didn't care.
Sesshomaru knew something was wrong when Kagome's moods just burst out of control. One minute she could be laughing at some little joke that probably wasn't funny and the next she could be extremely angry at the same joke.
Kagome didn't know how to tell Sesshomaru. That child of theirs would be a half-demon. And only an idiot wouldn't understand his feelings about half-demons. She tried talking with Sango, but even Sango (who is almost like an older sister to her) didn't know what to do.
Finally, after weeks and weeks of debating, Kagome decided to tell Sesshomaru before he found out. It was one of the only times Kagome has ever seen that much of an emotion on his face. First came surprise and then… nothing. Without another word, Kagome watched as Sesshomaru hissed through his teeth, “Get rid of it.”
He watched her run away from him. How would she know how he felt? He who has seen the way Inuyasha was treated when he was younger; he who had treated Inuyasha the same way. No child of his will go through that pain.
“I'm going to have the child, Sesshomaru,” Kagome said coldly. Sesshomaru could only stare back at the chilling coldness in her eyes, and realized, how distant they became from each other. They use to be so close.
Kagome doesn't know what hurts more; the fact that she's in love with a demon so far from her reach or the fact that the same demon hates their child.
The scent of blood was thick in the air and Kagome's screams filled Sesshomaru's ears. Sesshomaru had never been so scared in his entire life. Then the sound of an infant crying broke through the air.
Tiredly, Kagome eyed Sesshomaru as he picked up the infant slowly. She wondered what he would think; after all, the baby was entirely human. Perhaps, it was her priestess powers that stole the baby's demonic side.
Human: that was what Sesshomaru noticed when he picked up the baby. A slow smile stretched across his face as he stared down at the miniature version of Kagome. Sesshomaru almost, almost gasped out loud when the child opened her eyes. They were gold.
“Kaguya,” Sesshomaru said softly. Kagome smiled lightly because she knew what he meant.
“Good luck, Kagome,” Inuyasha said softly. “If that bastard tries anything, I'll beat the crap out of him.” With that said, Inuyasha pulled Kagome into his arms and she smiled through her tears.
Kagome had always dreamed of a perfect wedding. And as she gazed at the traditional wedding outfit that Sesshomaru was wearing (just for her) she realized this was as perfect as perfect was going to get.
“This is your kingdom,” Sesshomaru said as he waved his hand at the air in front of him. Kagome could only stared in awe at the view in front of her; a land that lies in the west in which Sesshomaru dominates over.
“She's getting so old,” Kagome sobbed in Sesshomaru's chest as she watched her daughter shared her first kiss. Secretly, of course.
“I'll stay with you, forever,” Kagome whispered desperately as she clutched onto the front of Sesshomaru's robes. She tried not to look at the hole in his chest as she sobbed. “So please, please don't leave me.”
“I'm sorry, Sesshomaru.” Kagome looked up at him with new tears in her eyes. “I can't promise you forever.” Sesshomaru only held her close, for he didn't understand just yet.
“You have something in your hair,” Sesshomaru murmured. As he reached over, he waited for the strand of gray to slip away from her. It wasn't until he had to pull it out to realize what it was.
And no matter how much he hated it, and how much she regretted being what she was. She was still human. Don't try anything; Kagome reminded Sesshomaru when she laid weakly in his arms. It wasn't long before time took Kagome away.
This was extremely fun to do. Unfortunately, I couldn't pull off the `deep' feeling for these sorts of things. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this because this is one of my few writings that I actually like. Even though I did enjoy this, I didn't really like the way it came out, so don't be surprised if I decide to change a little here and there.
