Summary
Threesomes are tricky.
So far as I have found
We are as managled poetry
bled from the pen of a student.
Over-eager, we stutter across the page
bumping margins and scratching paper.
You and me and she makes three
Forging on as steady as a three-beat waltz to a four-beat tune.
As the student writing or the dancer dancing, we fumble
Endlessly.
The beauty still lies in that enthusiasm
though hidden and marred by frustration
shines no less pure than that of practiced lovers.
Living as our own Greek chorus
Written
Spoken
Acted upon and learned from
Endlessly.
We continue on
Rising, falling.
A steady tune shakes
A solid plot buckles
All we aspire to be remains from reach.
Regardless that, love holds and we still forge on
Pens scratching
Toes tapping
Hands linked and wills steeled.
I love you
Both.
