Vampire Lynique to her master Valemont:
“Leave me to be this creature of darkness,
For you have enslaved me to the night.
The cold I feel in my veins only add to my hunger-
The warmth of blood sweetly stolen as it glazes my lips,
Is the only comfort I have now.
Why you have made me this monster, I’ll never know.
But I will thirst not for blood, but for the
Freedom of being alive”
