Cotton Candy Kingdom

Chapter 1

Printer-Friendly version

Ride alonside me on the bubblegum train,
carried away by love
Let's travel far to a magical place,
filled with castles and horses and sugarplum
But then you walked away,
and left me at the station

Breathless and bleeding, broken over your name,
thoughts I try hard to ignore
But all of the words just come back all the same;
wishing I knew what this pain is for
What don't you understand?
I'm bleeding for you again

What have you built me?
the walls are falling down
Of this cotton candy kingdom,
with your love for a crown
But then you walked away
and left me at the station

Thoughts over words never meant much to me,
trying to push you behind
But you can't visit sunny places for free;
costs what I'm losing: my mind
I'll say it while I can;
'cause you may be gone again

Now, now is not the time to cry,
'cause you'll be alright, you'll be okay
And now, now is not the time to cry,
and I'll be alright, I'll be okay

Can't find your niche in the world of the real?
so drag me into your mire
You think I'm a woman, so who cares how I feel;
Look at me, I'm just a child
