Elemental?

I don't really know how this came about... I was just painting in watercolours, playing with the reds, and she appeared. The colours reminded me of the different elements, hence the title.

I would hug it if I wasn't afraid of getting burned.

I don't think it can burn you through your monitor. You can hug her if you want. Mind you, she's not likely to hug back. LOL!

I don't know if I'd want her hair.. It looks like some kind of mean afro. Laughing

Thanks so much for the wonderful compliments. Big Smile

I do- imaginine the respect you'd get with those locks. I bet they're like firey whips when you brush your hand through them XD

Prolly tough to keep out of your face, too...

Asbestos hair ties? Perhaps my fire elemental Alex to hold it back? There are many options with hair that cool Wink

This is very true. Well, if you can make yourself asbestos hair ties, you can have her hair. Mind you... It's tough to convert watercolours into reality. I'm not in that business. Know anyone who is?

She's beautiful. She's so fiery and fierce, but I actually like her blue skin, it makes her approachable instead of totally dangerous. Ah watercolours! I love watercolours. Smile Great job!

It's about time I did another watercolour picture, methinks. Though I've been having so much fun with graphite and tinting... Thanks for your wonderful comments!

    Love it!

I remember this one, the first time I saw it I had commented on the brilliant colors and the hot feel I get from it. Since then I like this even more.

You're going to swell my head! *giggle*

Not likely, your way to modest. By the way, did I already say how much I like the new avatar?
        • Jun 9, 2005, 4:51:44 PM UTC
LOL! Yup, you did. And I told you it was me. *grin* And that the original picture is way better.
          • Jun 9, 2005, 4:58:26 PM UTC

*pat pat* Don't worry, Lloyd. Your bones will heal, and your mind will be back to it's normal healthy state soon. Smile

I hope so, half the time i'm not sure if i'm suppose to be doing other stuff.

Oh, just love the hair!!! The fiery orange-red hair just does the trick!! The hair blends so well wth the background. You are indeed talented. Keep up the good work!! Can't wait to see more of your awesome art!!
    • Jun 9, 2005, 2:55:40 PM UTC
Embarrassed The blending came about through laziness, actually. I didn't feel like drawing in every single strand, and how it would flow, so I just blended it into the background... lol
  • Jun 8, 2005, 10:58:00 AM UTC
Wow the colors are soo eye catching and beautiful!
  • Jun 8, 2005, 10:23:21 AM UTC
She seems fiery to me. I love the flame colored eyes. She seems like she could mess somebody up if they made her too mad. *laughs* I do love the reds and oranges. They go beautifully together in this piece.

I remember originally sitting down to create a sun goddess, but this is what came out... And it wasn't anything like what I had planned. Laughing Oh well! I think that happens to all of us. Thank you yet again, luv.
      • Jun 8, 2005, 2:26:01 PM UTC
Yes, that does happen to all of us. *smiles* Isn't it funny how something so beautiful can be created by accident?
  • Jun 8, 2005, 10:15:27 AM UTC
This is really neat. I love how you did the hair..and I also like the contrast between the firey hair and the blue body. Good job Smile
    • Jun 8, 2005, 10:37:49 AM UTC
Big Smile I should have added red highlights to her body, though. I think that's one of the things that's been bugging me most, and I just havent had time to go back into it yet. Slant I'm glad you like her! Big Smile
  • Jun 7, 2005, 11:01:03 PM UTC
    She sure is pretty

I love her pose in this pic (and i won't be only one, if i remember correctly that here should be one who just loves these kind of poses).

Big Smile Great pic once again!

You like this one, hey? I wasn't actually very fond of it for quite a while (I'm still not so sure). I don't feel it contains the same amount of emotion as I like to get into my pieces... I don't know why. Perhaps because it was created with nothing in mind? Hmm... I'm very glad you like it, though!
