Another piece done by looking at a rock, and drawing what I saw in it. Graphite sketch.

Looks as though she will be gobbled up. I like the flowing features behind her. And she is uncaring or unaware. maybe both. Great work.

Thanks! I don't think she can see them.. But perhaps she is slightly suspicious of another presence? I don't really know. This was basically just a doodle. lol.

I will never look at rocks the same way again. This is kind of scary. Now that I know rocks can come back and haunt you, I am never casting one into a lake ever again! All kidding aside, I love how you came about doing this one. Sometimes I look at the wooden paneling in my walls and try to see all of the faces in the grain. It makes time pass by pretty quickly. I know, I know, I need to get out more.

I used to do that in my old house when I was trying to go to sleep... It didn't help me much, but I found some pretty cool bearded fellows in my walls.

I find some pretty creepy looking old men in my walls . Yes, I'm still talking about in the wood. LOL I also find Demon looking things that would make very awesome pictures. Maybe I should try that sometime.

I remember this lovely piece like it was only yesterday. It caught my eye then and it still catches my eye now. Its great to see this one again Robin, even if those faces in the rocks still kinda creeps me out. *smiles*

Hmmm... Undulating cave walls -can- be rather frightening, methinks. Smile I wasn't sure whether or not I should post this one here, but I'm glad I did. I need to do some more drawings of the things I see in rock textures when I next have time.

Wow. This is very haunting. You know you're an effective artist when you can cause emotion in your viewers through them just looking at the picture. In the case of this piece, I feel slightly uneasy, but very curious; in wonder maybe.
    This is excellent Smile

Embarrassed You're feeling exactly what I think she's feeling, then.... *grin* That makes me so very happy! Thanks so much.

It's cool to know your art has emotional impact on people, huh? Great work! Smile

It is indeed. It's even better when the emotional impact achieved is the one intended. Bounce

Wow...This looks very Greek Tragedy to me. It's her pose and the way the rocks are looking to envelope her.Hmm...Very cool!

*beams* Greek tragedy, hey? In that case, perhaps Antigone? (I think I may have gotten her name wrong).

Hmm... i can see four faces and a figure of a man in that odd haze or something...

Great pic with lot's of details (or is there something in my eye? Wink ) and it made me feel kinda ankward. That girl against that haze... Or could somebody tell me what the h*ll is going on Question Mark

LOL! Surreal, isn't it? I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but I don't think she's too sure about it, either.

It looks to me like she's lying down in some cave for a night's sleep (perhaps a traveller?) but when she looks up, she sees faces in the rock wall... Then again, they could be clouds of billowing smoke. I really don't know... This is the way my mind works when not controlled. Tongue

Well, wanna guess how i have managed to write little over 40 poems in Finnish and few poems in English (and that story at Red Curtain)? By setting my mind free. By not limiting it by any mean. That's why they are what they are.

*grin* And honestly, that's how any form of art should come about. My initial plans are always freeform.
