Looks a little warm, I'd say. Tongue His mouth seems quite a bit more defined than the rest of the drawing... Purposeful?
    • Jun 22, 2005, 6:11:02 PM UTC
Ugh! I see what you mean about the mouth. I realy have to watch myself when I want to put focus on something.
      Thanks Robin.

    Oh this is great!

Thank you! I drew this after reading a sci/fi comicbook. I wish I could recall what it was called but it's been over 11 years.

Yeah but all of a sudden, I feel like confessing for my sins... *laughs* This one looks familiar. Was it at your elfwood site? I love the subtle glow on his face from the flames. Another marvelous job. But I'm sure you knew that already. *winks* Nono... don't be modest.

Familiar? Hmmmmm..? It may be because this has the same layout as my Austintia drawing, I have a tendancey to use that layout a lot.
Thanks again for the comment Kristina.

Ah... I see. How long did this one take you to complete?
        • Jun 23, 2005, 1:17:22 AM UTC
Not long at all actualy about 30 to 40 minutes, but then again I did use a comicbook as reference. I was inspired after I read this amazing comic which for the life of me I can't remember the title!
          • Jun 23, 2005, 1:21:48 AM UTC
You'll probably remember it as you're falling asleep or something. That always happens to me. I can't believe this only took you less than an hour. It usually takes me hours to do a decent looking pencil drawing. The Vlad one I did took me 4 days to complete. But that's because I am so anal retentive about getting things right. Which brings me to an idea I had. You are the only person I know that is capable of rendering an amazing looking warrior. And, you know, Vlad was a fierce warrior in his time. Maybe you could draw him as a warrior. That is how I'd like to remember him. It's just an idea. You are a very busy man.
            • Jun 23, 2005, 1:31:14 AM UTC
Sorry, but although I wish I could draw Vlad for you now, i'll have to put it on the backburner of things I plan to do when I have some free time. As it is i'll be lucky to have your niece's knight done soon.
I will draw it for you though since your such a big Dracula buff I just don't know when. Besides it's going to take some time to draw anyways as I have to look up what Rumanian armor looked like. So give it some time and i'll definately inform you when I start.
              • Jun 23, 2005, 1:34:56 AM UTC
It's okay, hun. I knew you would never be able to get around to it any time soon. You have alot on your plate right now with your book and your commissions and all. When that time comes, though, I have tons of pictures of him and what his armor may have looked like. My niece is away at camp right now anyway. She is working on some very good pictures though. I must say, her skill is improving with each day.
                • Jun 23, 2005, 1:42:08 AM UTC
                  Thanks for understanding.
At camp! That's great, I used to love to camp when I was her age and I still do when I get the chance. I can't wait to see what she posts when she gets back.
                  • Jun 23, 2005, 1:45:00 AM UTC
I loved it too. I had so much fun there. Plus I found a rabbit skull. I thought I was the coolest kid in the world to be carrying a skull in my pocket. Now I realize it was just plain creepy. I can't wait to see the finished products either. Though I don't know how much time she'll have to work on them being at camp and all.
                    • Jun 23, 2005, 1:49:35 AM UTC
In your pocket! That sounds cool if you actualy think about it.
  • Jun 22, 2005, 7:10:45 AM UTC
Wow, looks like he's ready to kill somebody. Good job.
    • Jun 22, 2005, 6:18:19 PM UTC
Thank you again, I did this after someone elses work, I wish I could remember who it was.
  • Jun 22, 2005, 6:25:30 AM UTC
He's very menacing.... almost 'satan-esque'. Evil You really draw emotion well, Lloyd. I can tell he hates me. And the fire!! the fire is magnificent. *has pyro tendencies* Ooooooh fire....

Awesome shading! Awesome. And my large vocabulary of words has fled from me. Hehe.
    • Jun 23, 2005, 1:50:33 AM UTC
Not to worry, a loss for words is always the best compliment. *smiles*

Really? This is pretty picture of villainous villain... Err...

...Two Thumbs Up up, way up!
