Crankyman: Roseline Epp

So my friend Lockpick and I decided the world needs a sleep-deprived superhero. Too bad that superhero has no real superpowers and his sidekick does... too bad we haven't decided what said sidekick's powers ARE. I'm thinking something involving spectrums and all that jazz...

Anyway, here she is, in all of her Prozac-induced glory: Rosaline «Ros» Epp.

For years, the young Ros had shouldered the burden of protecting her city from scum and villainy alone! Woe was she, she needed a sidekick! Then one evening (in her junior year of senior high, no less) while out patrolling the city for nasties, she by chance encountered a man garbed in the uniform of of a grocery store clerk locked in mortal combat with a shadowed man! She had found her sidekick.

This man (in reality, no superhero by any stretch of the imagination) was not impressed with her proposition; not only was he adamantly against being anyone's sidekick, he was against the superhero shtick in general. All the man, whose name was Nicodemus Rupert («Ah!» exclaimed Ros, «A name crafted for greatness!»), desired was sleep... and copious amounts of it at that.

Through her natural charm (or what those who knew her well would say was extreme annoyance) she coerced Nicodemus to join her, though the sidekick title was hoisted onto Ros; and together they... hope something dangerous happens.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now then, Ros is the daughter of a ridiculously wealthy retired superhero so she has more than enough funding for her «heroic» escapades and costumes. Nicodemus (given the title of «Crankyman» by Ros) is a terribly sleep-deprived thirty-seven-year-old man who's stuck in a low-paying job at a chain supermarket. Ros gets about as much sleep as Nic does, what with school and playing superhero, but it doesn't show as it does with him... she lives on high-caffiene beverages and anti-depressants/stimulants. Together they make a disfunctional team at best.

Ros's powers involve light and spectrums (and a low-level ability to heal)... her hero name is Prisma.

This style look like Gorillaz did the bump-nasty with The Venture Bros. and had inbred babies. Oh yes indeed. Now I'm off to eat a tasty, tasty Venture Bros. sandwich with a side of Monarch. The Monarch is delicious... now say it!!
