The pic is very nice. Corky Smile Goddess - cool. But...is it just me, or is there an...anorexic look to her? Scratching Head I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just pointing it out.

Hun, there are alot more problems with her than just the anorexic look to her. Laughing Her feet are all funky looking and her hands. *sigh* This one was done when I was first starting to get into drawing people with a more realistic look to them. Back before my skills decided they wanted to develop. Smile I take no offense in any comments I receive. I appreciate you giving me your honest opinion. No worries. ^_^

You really think so? I forgot I even had this drawing in my gallery. Sweat Drop Well I did it as a gift for my mother and she was supposed to color it for me, but I think maybe she forgot about it too. One day I will get around to coloring it. Thank you for coming to my gallery tonight and being my "biggest fan." I am so happy to have you here. *hugs*

This is so lovely!! I love it!! I am adding it to my fave list!! Now that I think on it I have to go add those other ones on my fave list too. You are so great!! I love your art, it is so... GREAT!!

Oh, and I love you too sis!! You know, almost as much as your art... but your close!! LoL No really, Love you!!
    • Jul 15, 2005, 1:19:35 AM UTC
Thank you so much, sweetie. I love you too and I am so glad that you are enjoying my work so much. I did this one for my mother. She had asked me to draw her one before, and I tried my hand at a wolf for her, but it turned out so like crap. Then I figured, what better way to give her a better drawing, than to make it one of a Goddess. She loved it. I think I am actually going to go back and color this one a little later on. I think that would give it more life. What do you think?
      • Jul 15, 2005, 1:33:58 AM UTC
^-^ Awwww, that is so sweet of you. It is a very wonderful thing to do for a mother because for us, art is a way of expression. And serenity and love is what is expressed here. ^-^ And yes, I do believe you are right, color would make this all the more better!!
        • Jul 15, 2005, 1:37:15 AM UTC
Well, thank you so much. I will get around to coloring it soon. I also want to fix the hands and feet on it too since I am getting much better at that. ^_^Much love.
          • Jul 15, 2005, 1:52:24 AM UTC
You do as you see fit with this, and I bet it will only transform it into a masterpiece on your behalf. Isn't it odd how sometimes the smallest of changes on a drawing can ompletely alter the image? In this case your hardly notice either or (hands/feet) Because you are brought to the moon and the body more. But I bet as soon as you spruce them up a bit you will be drawn to them more. ^^ Love you!!

WOW girly this is awesome!! I love it ...I think it is so beautiful!!!!!Smile

  • Jul 6, 2005, 1:30:11 AM UTC
Very nice Kristina! I like how you rendered the fabric as it looks so billowy and soft her face also catches the eye as she's very lovely.
    • Jul 6, 2005, 1:39:33 AM UTC
Thank you Lloyd. My, but you are a very good son. ^_^ I had a hard time drawing the hands and feet on her, so I thought I would just sit back today and draw different sketches of hands and feet to try to get the hang of it. I am improving greatly, but I am still in much need of improvement. You should go to bed now Mister. It is way past your bedtime. And make sure you go use the bathroom first so you don't wet the bed. Laughing

    • Jul 5, 2005, 8:23:20 AM UTC
I think you need to put the pints down, matey. Wink Though I do appreciate your drunken compliments. Much love, hun.
      • Jul 7, 2005, 9:47:20 PM UTC
Now wh(hic)y should I (hic) put down these pints? (hic)
        • Jul 7, 2005, 9:55:41 PM UTC
Because you can't even talk or write my review without hiccupping, silly. Besides, I thought you didn't like beer. Laughing
          • Jul 7, 2005, 10:36:10 PM UTC
No, (hic) I don't like (hic) beer... Hehhehee.... (hic)
  • Jul 4, 2005, 11:19:44 PM UTC
Wow, this is beautiful. I absolutely love the detail you put into everything here; her dress, the grass, everything. And her facial expression is perfect... very mysterious, lol ^_^
    AWESOME job!! *favs*
    • Jul 4, 2005, 11:36:32 PM UTC
Thanks, sweetie. I am so glad that you like it. I worked reallt hard on this one before I got her dress just right. It still needs some work in a couple of areas. (The hands and feet.) I have to figure out how to draw hands and feet first. LOL
      • Jul 5, 2005, 12:35:59 AM UTC
I know, I HATE hands n' feet Tongue But they're so beautiful when one gets them right. I think you're doin' a fantastic job!! ^_^
        • Jul 5, 2005, 12:44:07 AM UTC
Thanks love. You have actually made me feel better. I got a really mean review from somebody here today on another one of my pics. Oh well. I will carry on and keep doing my best. ^_^
          • Jul 5, 2005, 1:28:45 AM UTC
Why are people so mean to you? Did you get that awful review on PaperDemon?? That's horrible! All criticism should be constructive, grrrr.... Besides, I have never seen anything you've drawn that requires any critisism. I think those people are just jealous that they can't draw like you!
Anyways, I myself andd a million other people love you, and would gladly beat up those mean dummy-heads! *starts hopping in a fight stance* ...lol ^_^
            • Jul 5, 2005, 1:35:11 AM UTC
Thanks, hun. That means alot to me. I don't know why I got attacked, it is just something that unfortunately comes with the territory. I am not going to let it get me down though, because I know I am doing my best to improve. Plus I have all of you guys that love me and support me and that keeps me from going under. Much love to you and thank you for always being so supportive and loving of me. You are the greatest.
              • Jul 5, 2005, 1:44:49 AM UTC
Aw, I really am sorry though about ppl being so mean Tongue I just can't understand what motivates them to do that! It feels so much better to be friends with people and to support them and actually care about them.
Well, whatever. Who needs them? You've always been very supportive of me, to say the least, and even if I didn't love ya to pieces, I'd still be just as supportive in turn. Besides, you just rawk, and you don't need anyone else to tell you that, and the people who say you don't just don't know what they're talking about. Am I making sense? It's hard sometimes, but you have to remember that it's not important what other people think; you need to be at peace with yourself. And we're always here for ya when that gets especially hard. Just keep doing what you're doing, cuz it's what you love. And besides that, you do it so dang well ^_~
                • Jul 5, 2005, 2:01:21 AM UTC
Thanks, sweetheart. I don't know what to say. I love you guys so much and I couldn't get through the "hard times" without you guys. Some people just aren't happy unless they bring other people down with them. I try to be a very upbeat person and I overcome these things. It does sting a bit, but that will go away. If I dwell on it, it won't solve anything. I am so glad to have all of you. I really do love you all.
                  • Jul 5, 2005, 2:10:02 AM UTC
We love you too! And you are a very, very positive person. That's one of the things that helps you so much. Don't let go of that! *gives you much-deserved-and-probably-needed hug*

Wowsers! The fold work you did with her wear is magnificent! Wonderful job. I read the previous critique by Minimaid and agree, and offer you this advice. When drawing the hands and feet (yes they are the hardest...bleg) try viewing the structures within them. Visualize the thickness of the bones and the way they bend; if you take a look at any anatomy in general, you'll get a feel for how all that works. When it starts to make sense in how it works, I think you'll see your work begin to improve. I hope that helps!
    • Jul 4, 2005, 12:31:24 PM UTC
Thanks so much Karana. It really does help. I think later on I am going to sit with my little sketch pad and just draw feet and hands. ^_^ That should work. Thank you so much for the advice. I will definately take it to heart. Much love.
  • Jul 4, 2005, 7:48:52 AM UTC
This is very pretty, well done! Smile

Thank you so much Nettie. Your comments and support is always taken to heart. Much love.
  • Jul 4, 2005, 3:21:48 AM UTC
Good Sketch , Is this Diana from Greek mythology ? , looks a lot like it from the dress , anyway well drawn , nice and simple Smile. the fold have been done wonderfully.Smile
    • Jul 4, 2005, 7:12:31 AM UTC
Yes it is and you are the only one I didn't have to explain that to. *laughs* I may go back later and put some color into it. I still have a couple of things on this drawing that need to be fixed (the moon, feet and hands) before I will be completely satisfied with it. Thank you so much for your lovely words. As always, they mean so much to me.
  • Jul 4, 2005, 1:25:19 AM UTC
THe fabric fold in this are just wonderful, wifey dear. You can feel the wind passing through her garments *shiver*... And it's cold.

Perhaps it's the style of drawing, but her hands and feet seem slightly skewed. The feet look a little too narrow to me, and the hands have the fingers at some awkward angles... perhaps it is just the style that you were going for, but it looks a little odd to me.

Still, all in all, a wonderful picture! Muah!
    • Jul 4, 2005, 7:08:31 AM UTC
I did have some problems with the feet and the hands. I did this based off a piture in a mythology that I have that is 60 years old!!! I just drew it as I perceived it, but I think I do the worst on feet and hands all the time. Any pointers? Thank you for your constant instruction and advice my muse. Without your guidance, I would be drawing stick people with boobs. ^_^
      • Jul 4, 2005, 10:11:29 PM UTC
I'll have to get back to you on that one, my love. You see, I can't explain things like that very well. I'm going to have to draw it out on my puter with little red lines so you can SEE it... And that's going to have to be another night...
        • Jul 4, 2005, 10:14:02 PM UTC
Well, probably tomorrow I am going to sit down with my little drawing pad and draw feet and hands all day just so I can get the feel for it, you know? For some reason, I always have trouble with those body parts. Which makes it even more odd that I can draw a woman's breasts so well. Sick
          • Jul 4, 2005, 10:15:21 PM UTC
no it doesn't... Feet and hands ARE the toughest. In order for me to learn, I drew only hands and feet for a week, copying poses from magazines, my own appendages, and whatever else I could find...
            • Jul 4, 2005, 10:19:37 PM UTC
I am scared of my feet. They are really small and I always say they look like Fred Flintstone's feet! Cry I only wear a 6 and a half shoe. I am just little everywhere. Except for the chest. I don't need any improvement in that area. Maybe that was a little too much info considering this is now on my review page. Hmmm... just forget what you have read here people....
              • Jul 4, 2005, 10:21:09 PM UTC
*poke* I have really small feet too. I fit into 6 1/2 or 7 shoes, regularly.
                • Jul 4, 2005, 11:37:22 PM UTC
Then you have the same feet as me. So not only can we share clothes, but we can share shoes too! Cool!
                  • Jul 4, 2005, 11:38:17 PM UTC
yay! Well.. my shoes aren't very exciting, unfortunately. Just plain old black runners.
  • Jul 3, 2005, 6:45:12 PM UTC
This is really beautiful! I absolutly love how you drew the flowing garments she is wearing. Drawing all those folds is a very hard thing to do (at least for ME anyway, ha ha) and you did a great job with it. I really like how you drew her hair too. Great job! Big Smile
    • Jul 3, 2005, 9:08:13 PM UTC
Thanks hun. The pleats and folds sucked big time to draw. It was really hard to get them to look right. I think I might go back later and put some color into it. Thank you for the compliments, sweetie. Much love.
  • Jul 3, 2005, 3:08:43 PM UTC
Work on the feet some more.
  • Jul 3, 2005, 1:50:13 PM UTC
Very pretty! I love the folds in her dress. Also what she's standing on gives lots of room for imagination.. it's like she's standing on top of a mountain's peak, or at the edge of a cliff, or maybe even at the end of the world. ^_^ Great job!
    • Jul 3, 2005, 3:37:23 PM UTC
I am glad that you got that out of this picture. She is standing on a cliff's edge. In the myth, she stands on it to gaze upon Endymion where she has had him cursed to remain forever young and never to awaken so she can gaze at him for all eternity.
  • Jul 3, 2005, 1:15:04 PM UTC
Good job ladyanime, shes beautiful, she looks very pensive! You did a great job with the movement of her skirts. Will you put some shading into it or leave it like that?
    • Jul 3, 2005, 3:39:16 PM UTC
I was actually thinking about putting some color into it later on. Who knows? I will let you know as soon as I decide. I appreciate your comments and I am glad that you like it. Thanks so much.
  • Jul 3, 2005, 1:02:58 PM UTC
This is amazing!! wow. Oh, and just a little trick I like to do with moons n stuff like that is get a bowl or something like that and trace it. It does wonders. lol But, I really luv it. You must have spend quite awhile on this one.
    • Jul 3, 2005, 3:35:07 PM UTC
Thanks, hun. You know, I usually do do that trick with the bowl. I don't know why I didn't do it this time. Ponder I guess I prefer to do things the hard way. ^_^
      • Jul 3, 2005, 3:40:13 PM UTC
lol I have this one piccy I did that's pretty cool that I did with all stuff from my kitchen. I just traces like, 30 different things then colored it. I think it looks neat. lol
        • Jul 3, 2005, 6:01:53 PM UTC
That sounds really neat. You should send it to me. Man, you are so creative. ^_^
          • Jul 3, 2005, 7:26:32 PM UTC
Creative? More like bored half to death. lol I've got to find something to do or my mind will rot. LOL
  • Jul 3, 2005, 12:43:01 PM UTC
Wow, she looks beautiful. She looks gentle, soft. What is she holding, I wonder?
    • Jul 3, 2005, 12:49:26 PM UTC
Oh... she is holding up the moon. Maybe I should put that in the description. She is the Goddess equivalent to Luna. She just has the name Diana from another culture. I had a hell of a time with all of the folds of her dress. That took forever. I am glad you like it though. Thanks so much. ^_^
