'In Their Happier Days...'

Looking around at many fanarts, I found there was very little depicting Inu No Taishou and Inu Okaasan (Sesshoumaru's mother) together as an item.

I found that rather sad, so made one of my own. :)

Again, another piece I am rather proud of.

You are so amazing!!!!! Their expressions are perfect! I would of course like this waaaay better than an original anime artists screenshot if they ever had these two posed that way. This is great!

So beautiful *__* I hardly see them drawn together, but... even finding Sess-Mom is hard -_-
But your pic is sooo... peaceful,and this soft coloring makes it wonderful.
Sometimes I wonder what really happened between this two :/ Why did Inu-Papa leave her? T_T

  I like to assume that Inu No Taishou did not leave Inu Okaasan - he just took a lover on the side (I think that may have been commonplace back in those days, right? A shogun or one of higher status having more than one wife or a wife and several mistresses? Though I've never been great with history, so I could be wrong).
  
  Izayoi may have been nothing more than a side fling - and being a human, Inu Okaasan would have seen her as nothing more than her husband's plaything and no threat to her status as Lady to the Weestern Lands.

  And it is true - very rarely do you see fanarts of these two together (so under appreciated; I think it's because some folks feel that there was bitter blood between them).
