She stretched up and kissed him gently. “I was a fool in so many ways, and what's worse is, in my desperate attempt to protect myself from being hurt, I hurt you. I'll never forgive myself for putting this pain and doubt in your eyes.”
“Kagome,” he whispered, his arms going around her as she began to slowly unbutton his shirt, kissing him softly.
As the last button opened, her hands slid up between the panels of fabric to brush the cotton off his shoulders. Her hands trailed back down his chest to encircle his waist. She looked into his eyes and whispered, “You are…” Then with feather light kisses she began a path down his firm chest, following each kiss with a whisper.
“Talented… handsome… tender…” She pulled her hands back and unbuttoned one sleeve, placing a kiss on the inside of his wrist. “Intelligent… strong…” The other sleeve was unbuttoned, followed by a kiss to the inside of that wrist. “Generous… caring…”
