Inuyasha and Kagome - Bliss

I couldn't resist trying this pose with Inuyasha and Kagome. The more I look at it, though, the more I really want to recolor the lineart - it turned out too light and I need to force myself to use a bit heavier shading. Anyway, this piece was up on DeviantArt for exactly one year and two days - with over 80,000 page views and well over 100 faves. Then DA decided to start their war on fanart and it simply disappeared. Suffice it to say that this piece, plus all the other work in my gallery there, will be getting added to my gallery here, along with pieces no longer on DA. I'm hoping that PaperDemon and the Red Curtain become my new home-away-from-home. Let's see. Drawn with a Bic mechanical pencil on plain printer paper and then inked using a Sakura pen. Scanned into my Mac OS9.1 where I colored it using Photoshop 4.0 and an extremely temperamental mouse (which has since met its maker and has been replaced with a slightly less temperamental mouse). The background is just a picture of grass which was blurred to help it blend with the CG'd characters. Unfortunately, my version of Photoshop doesn't support all the fun brushes and textures that the later versions do, so I often have to resort to using pictures and screencaps for my backgrounds. YAY!! I can fave this again!! And be the first comment too! It was really sad when DA took it down, but in a way it's good, because otherwise you never would have ended up here!! Now a whole new group of people will get to know your art & I'm looking forward to faving your gallery!!

Yeah. I still can't believe that DA took it down after over a year (and more than 80,000 views - I still wonder if someone wasn't hot-linking to it). Well, I doubt it'll get that many views here, but at least it's back. And, the entire situation on DA has me itching to do work - borderline art I can post to really piss the idiots there off, and really ecchi work that could never have been posted there to begin with!

I know... It's so sad that they did that.
It's possible. I wonder if people are hotlinking to my mp3's on my site too. The one good thing is, now they can't hotlink to it any more. The sad thing is, no one at DA will see it any more. At least it's here!!

How was the reception on your Kikyou pic? I liked that one too.

*laughs* I love how you think!!

I'm glad you're turning that anger into inspiration!! I'm looking forward to seeing what you post under the red curtain!
