Walking Barefoot

Posted Aug 23, 2007, 1:25:03 AM UTC

Drawing for a history project, it symbolyzes "Being yourself and standing out from the crowd,  walk barefoot in a world of shoes."  At least that's what I told the teacher....  really I just needed to work on drawing feet!

Oh dear me! Feet are so hard to draw! Great job! Love the concept too!

Nice feet. Feet are so hard to draw from behind (actually, feet are pretty much difficult from any angle.
The positioning is not really a normal position during walking--unless you're walking on your toes, which is maybe what you wanted--but usually by the time the back foot is at that angle, the front foot has the heel to the floor instead of the toes.

But the shading on the bare feet is very nice--particularly the one on the left. And I think it's nice symbolism. Smile

Thanks! You're absolutely right about the positioning of the feet... it almost looks like reaching up to get something...
