Gargoyle

This is my character Raymondo in the way that i have always imagined him. Hope you like

Amongst the rooftop he crept, his slender body silhouted against the stars. He crouched, cat-like and stared down at the busy street with quick black eyes.

The buzzing shoppers below him suspected nothing; they were too absorbed with their last minute  Christmas shopping. He stared at them enviously. All wrapped up in their winter warmth, completely oblivious to the evil watching them. The tedious tasks which seemed so much for them were trivial matters to one such as he.

He had been like them once, innocent and a child. Now he sat, a condemned man. Forced to live eternally.....alone.

The hunter sat in a cafe on the top floor of a Manhatten shopping centre. Her hands were wrapped protectively around a large cup of steaming coffee. Despite the warmth in the room, she shivered.

She gazed out of the window, already covered with a thick layer of snow, and stared down at the ever-busy shoppers. Just multi-coloured dots, like hundreds and thousands scattered upon white icing.

Her stare drifted upwards towards the roof of the ajacent building. A neon sign flashed pathethically, out of place on the gothic building.

Thats when she saw him. Her heart ground to a halt. He was perched like a gargoyle on the outer stone ledge. His body was inanimate, save for the copper strands of his hair that flew out gracefully in time with the wind.

So this was the one who she was sent to kill... TBC
