Green and Red - S.P. #2

Self portrait the second for Lloyd. I'm sorry love, all the best ones have been utterly destroyed from being in my locker after gallery showings... Writing is as follows, for those of you who are curious (once again I apologize for my odd writing style. These are like diary entries to me):

"I suppose at some point in our lives we all get torn. For me, I am torn between my beliefs and morals and the loyalty for a friend. We are too young to tie ourselves for eternity to one person whom we have only known for a few short months. How can she say she is old enough to give him her trust and undying love for the rest of her life at 19 years of age? Four months is not enough time... But she looks to me to stand by her. I love her, so stand by her I will."

these reverse color self portraits are really sweet! Was this a class assignment or something, or your own idea? They're all great.

no, this was my own idea for my class sketchbook. We weren't told what to do for our sketchbooks, except that there had to be writing in it. These are the results of my being left alone... Thanks for the encouragement! Smile

The colors of this one reminded me of a candy apple. Don't know why. This is my favorite out of your facial portraits. This one seems to have more depth and feeling in it than the others do. Maybe it is the expression on your face. Maybe it is the choice of colors. It is extraordinarily beautiful. I really love how you put the text on there. That is so unique and it adds a whole new feel to the picture. Keep up the good work, love.

WTF? I just got logged out from here again. This site has been acting strange all day. *sigh* Anywhoo, I was going to tell you that maybe you should try to do one now and see how it turns out. That would be interesting, huh?

Okie-dokie. I love his hair color in that avatar. I told him he gets his cool hair genes from me. Laughing

Which avatar? He doesn't have a different one up, as far as I can see?

Yup. He sure does. It is a really cute picture of him too. He looks rather dashing with that red hair. We make cute kids, you and I. Laughing

Nothing to apologize for Robin, these are wonderful! Their almost abstract and are definately worth seeing. I realy like all of the writing you've integrated. I just wish I could read it a bit clearer.

It's not that important to the artwork, really, but I could type it out if you want?
      • Jul 12, 2005, 11:15:39 PM UTC
Actualy no need. I've saved it to my comp and when I zoom in I can read it. Thanks for the offer though.

Wink Alright, luv. Beware - I suck at writing, and those are all just completely random thoughts.. And they're tough to figure out in which direction the writing reads. I think I will write it out for anyone else who might be interested... Slant
