At the start of this year, I joined an art exchange on livejournal.com. Since I'm pretty good with gryphons and I have a few gryphon characters myself, I joined up with GAX, a gryphon art exchange. I've signed up off and on depending on the month and how busy I figure I'll be during that month. This was the first picture I did for the exchange way back in Febuary. I can't for the life of me remember who it was for though.
Anyway, the lineart was done in real-media ink, the color and everything was done in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. I went for a more DIsney-ish look for it, simplified and all that from what I normally do for gryphons.

Um... yeah. Hee hee.
I like griffins. ^^
Anyway, real crits- The legs are awesome, but his head seems a bit too small. I 'unno, I draw wolves and lions, so maybe I am just in a habit of drawing longer snouts, but still. I like yoour transition from fur to feathers. It blends nicely and makes sense; it isn't choppy. Very nice pic! Molto bene!
And thank you! The background was actually pretty simple. Adobe Photoshop 7.0 has a brush that looks like a faded oval that if you just tap it, it creates a cloud effect. >_> I use it a lot but it always creates a nicer effect than I can with just freehand.
