Maybe I am a cheetah...

On gaiaonline.com, I'm one of the oldest members of a Lion King based shop/rp called Shadows of Africa. I joined up a little more than three years ago when she shop was just opening up. Over the years it's kind of become over-populated by and newblets and god-moders who have given it a reputation for being among the biggest dramaholes in the b/c community. (Breedable/changeable for those that don't know.)

For those that aren't familar with the b/c concept, pretty much when you join you pay for art of a character and it 'grows' from the young stage to an adult stage. SOA is a template shop so pretty much it's all done on generic lineart with templates for shading. The only differences between characters are the coloring and the occassional lineart edit.

Anyway, I have about 10 characters in SOA. Among my favorates is my spotless cheetah, Taban, who (if you've not already guessed) is a cosplay of Hugo from Suikoden III. Taban was raised as a lion by a blind lioness who picked him up rather than her own cub shortly after birth, having birthed her first litter close to a cheetah's den. Taban was the first to cry out, so he was the one she picked up. The lioness, having no way to tell that he wasn't a lion cub, raised him believing that he just was a late bloomer. Taban didn't know any better.

Well now he's an adult and his mane still hasn't grown in. He's not an idiot, he knows he's not a lion though he's hardly thrilled with the idea of it. He's slowly coming to terms with that little fact of life.

This is me playing around with the disney style once more. His body's a bit shorter than I would have liked for a cheetah and as always, the background's kind of lame. That aside, I'm pleased with the rest of it.
