Black Magic

Posted Sep 12, 2007, 11:38:22 AM UTC

A scene from the proglogue of Wisdom where the antagonist character creates the menacing force of Black Magic. The world of No'va has never seen such power before, and therefor starts reacting to it rather...bizarre. Now a growing Darkness envelops the land with the dark unicorn living only in a host's body until it can find another...suitable...body to take for its own. The time of the Blue Moon is at hand. It is time to call forth the forces of Darkness and take the world for itself!

Is there no hero to stop it all?

Woah that's intense! Certainly caught my eye.
I like your strong light/shadow contrast, and the visible effort of the man crawling across the floor.

Is the unicorn behind the fire, or rising out of it? That seems a bit unclear to me.

The anatomy in the foreground character is a bit wonky in the torso, but that unicorn is amazing! There is something inherently satisfying about an evil unicorn...I'm not sure why.

Thank you very much! I intend to use it as the cover for the novel when it gets published. Hopefully, I'll find a publisher willing to accept outside work Smile

thatΒ΄s mostly the point - most publishers have their own opinion on cover art - and not always only a good one. :XD:
