Hello Zacula and welcome to BogusRed! I must say that this is most impressive. It is very original. It is almost like he is wearing a cloak of some sort. I have never seen anyhting like this. It is absolutely wonderful! I regret that I have to leave right now to take my kid to the dentist, but I will be back as soon as I can to view your gallery. You are one most impressive artist. Thank you so much for coming to BR and sharing your wonderful art with us. ^_^

Thank you for the wonderful welcome, The cloak was originaly intended to be wings but I changed the design mid way and I think I like this better.
      • Jul 14, 2005
Yes. It seems to make more of a statement than wings would. You always see wings on dragons. How often do you see a dragon with a cloak?
        • Jul 14, 2005
indeed, Thats how I felt about it, so I went with the cloak. I'm glad I did.

Good Lord!!! This is magnificent! it looks so evil and dark. I really envy your creativity in your compositions.

Geeze, your art is so good, and so creepy! I got shivers when I first looked at this one. There's something so foreboding about all of your characters, it's a look that just begs you to know more...

A very gracious comment, I'm glad you liked it.

Have you ever seen the video "The Dark Crystal"? A lot of your pieces remind me of the creatures from that film.. Superb.
    • Jul 14, 2005
It's a great movie(in my opinion). Just thinking back on it spawns creatures in my mind. I'm flattered my work could be even remotely comparable with something I hold in such High regard. Thank you.

It has to be.. The connection is right there! Your creatures are so wonderful.. They could definitely be made into their own puppets.
        • Jul 17, 2005
It would be cool to have puppets of some of my creatures. Ive made sculptures of them before but thats about the extent of my beasties ventures in the physical realm.
          • Jul 17, 2005
I can do the sculpture thing, too, to some degree. Wish I could make puppets, but I haven't the technical knowledge yet. Sad

If you have a digital camera it would be wonderful to see some of your sculptures here. Smile

Well I don't have my own but I can get access to one. someday I'll post some sculptures but I am a lot more picky about those and there flaws then my other work. I'll look at them and see if there is anything to share, and if not I'll make somethin' new.

This is sweet! Makes me think of a Balrog from Lord of the Rings...
I have to say, no two creatures you create ever look alike!

Well I must say thank you for all of your wonderful comments. I am glad you perused my works and shared your thoughts, It was very kind of you. I try to throw different features onto each creation and at times I feel successful, other times I feel as though I'm drawing the same thing yet again.

        You're welcome ^_^
I understand the feeling!... But from looking at your art, I can say that every piece is distinct, yet they all seem connected (probably because each one is a little part of your mind and imagination). I think it's a perfect balance Yes
