Vegeta+Bulma - Tender Touch

Posted Dec 4, 2007, 9:28:46 AM UTC

It's been a while since I've drawn Vegeta fanart. He's still the hottest anime character in my mind. Here he is tenderly embracing Bulma.

It's been forever since I've drawn for myself (as apposed to drawing for work/school). I'm fairly satisfied with this sketch. The only things I'm unhappy about at the moment are Bulma's skirt and her hand. I'll probably take a day's break from this and come back to adjust it.

Red pen crits welcome.

I do intend to color this after I get the line art finished :veryhappy:

Vegeta and Bulma from Dragon Ball Z are (c) Akira Toriyama, etc.

[REVISION] - Dec 7
I've uploaded my revision to the linework. I've received some good comments on Bulma. I've revised her hand and her skirt as well as a couple little tweaks on her shirt and legs.

Thank you so much. There's a couple of Vegebul discord servers I'm on. If you're interested I can invite you. They have various events for artists and writers. They even have this thing going on where you earn points for drawing Vegebul artwork

Another wonderful work to show off the style Smile

You know, your linework reminds me of the art direction of the metal gear solid franchise. Not the coloring style considering that one is wildly different, but the faces in particular. She looks like the female lead in the first game of the "solid" series.

    Great workSmile

This is beautiful. I've always liked the way that you draw Bejita. The pose is interesting too. The way you draw people...I dunno, almost like they're always floating in air. It creates a nice effect.

I love how their bodies are constructed and how you did Bulma's hair. The only thing to me that stands out is Bulma's hand Her pinky specifically I might be a tad short. But over all very nice. I'm glad to see that you're drawing again Yes

I always love how you draw these too- your style makes Vege seem such a calmer, nicer person, and Bulma is very femanine ^^ *snuggles BR* so happy to see you drawing again ^^ I miss it Big Smile

*snuggles back* Thanks Arkillian. I think maybe I need to do some more drawings where he's a little more badass.

Awe- there's tons of those about the place- I like your cocky, 'I'm so sexy' version of Vege alot more Wink It seems so perfect for his character ^^

Hahah there's only one proper response to that:
"Jiita Clothing Line. So sexy, even YOU will f***"

sigh...he still is the hottest, I totally agree. I think I'll always have a thing for Vegeta.
I dont see anything wrong with this pic, I think it's perfect. I cant wait to see the coloured version.

    Great!

*takes a breath* The hand has fingers that are not smooth, and the pinky starts further off the hand than the other fingers if you where to line the curve of the knuckles up.
The skirt.. sorta crops off the leg. Making things bulge. If you where to draw a smooth line of where the leg starts from the hip and come down. then the skirt will hang better and the legs will look much smoother.

    I love vegeta...

Thanks. I have a hard time doing written crits, often I will print out the image, draw over it.. and scan it back
