CLAMP fans and people who read NewType magazine might know who Kobato and Mr. ioryogi is. This picture is copied from the art from the begining of Exam 7: rainy Day Kobato.
This is just a rough quick sketch i did late a night, i actually like it. While theres alot of this wrong with it, for a sketch done in 30 mins its not all that bad lol.
Kobato is a Beautiful character to draw. i loved drawing her eyes (even though only ones opened in this pic). ...the only thing i've had trouble with was Kobato's hair. kobato has INTENSE hair. like i got lost when i tried to draw her hair. u look at one strand and draw that but then ull look at other strand and so on and by the time u've finshed drawing that one strand of hair u've lost your place. i kept getting lost in her hair so i just made her hair up and kinda drew the shape...have a go at drawing her hair urself and u'll know what i'm talking about....or you no, maybe its just me lol.
thats all i have to say about the actual art work....but i'm going to keep typing about Kobato, so if you were only interested in reading about my drawing process then you can stop now lol.
CLAMP fans may be familiar with CLAMP's 'CLAMP in wonderland' music video....there's only two at the moment and the most recent one was released last yr in about novemberish i think, they basically celebrate CLAMP's works for a certain number of yrs. annnnyways in the most recent one kobato was animated for the 1st time. and i was reading in an anime magazine that whenever the animaters had to draw kobato's hair they would cry, because each strand of hair moves on its own. she has seriously INTENSE hair....intense ppl lol
