pazazz Lovely! The values are nice and strong where they should be and the transition to the lighter values is nicely done. The use of the textured sketch paper was an excellent choice as it lends itself to an elephant like skin. Nice work, thanks for sharing.Piglet Thank you. I don't usually like using textured paper because I feel that you are bound by the grain and sometimes that isn't good if you want to portray a smoothness, but an elephant is one of the few things I would use textured paper for.
Sliverbane After close scrutiny I can't find anything to improve. You used great light and dark tones, excellent use of texture. A wonderful rendering of the Elephant. The back and ground and foreground make for a well composed drawing. I suppose the only thing I could pick at is to deepen the contrast when scanning to better represent the deep shadows you created.
