I Don't Like Games...
This has been languishing on my harddrive halfway colored for God knows how long... I found it a couple days ago and decided to finish it since I always liked the concept... I just forgot about it entirely. XP
I know it's filler and movie/anime canon only, but I've always adored the childhood flashbacks they added of Inuyasha as a child, particularly the one of the other nobles of the court tricking him into thinking he could play with them and then deserting him. It's always had such a feeling of isolation and lonliness that I got this visual in my head and had to get it down on paper.
It's in the third movie, I believe, that Kagome explains the concept of a "sport" to him saying it's a game which makes him flash back to that again briefly before telling her "I don't like games."
I have a fully saturated version of this but the brightness of the red and yellow of the ball made it seem a little too... cheery. I tried kicking down the saturation just a touch and this seemed to work a bit better. (This is why I let pieces sit overnight before I post them. lol)
