Poison Ivy, from Batman. She's always been a favourite character of mine, especially with her 'earth mother' attitude in the past few years. A character with great depth and potential, often wasted with crappy writers, but she occasionally shines with a good writer or two...much like Batman himself.

Ink and watercolours.

Thank you so much! Smile I'm so glad you like her!

Lovely Ivy ^^ She comes across too sexual orientated as a character cause she uses the pheromone lipstick too much. She was used ok in Hush last I saw, but normally, she's a vixen. Catwoman gets alot more depth consistently. I think Ivy needs some new background to play with before she becomes a viable character again. They're losing plot elements to write about her I feel Sad

I think she was very well-written for a while, when she had the sort of 'earth protector' thing going on a few years back, but the recent writers have forgotten what made her who she is.

I think at heart she is a seductress, but most comic writers seem unable to write convincing ones...and Ivy has to be written well in order to be viable or interesting. She has a lot of depth, many layers, and most writers in the comic industry nowadays just cannot fathom her, so they tend to use her rarely or end up writing her poorly.

Yeah. They're alot more use to characters that write themselves. That, or they don't think she's big name enough to put effort in. It's a shame- I do like her. She's a feminist ^^ I dig that Big Smile

I'm so glad to hear this. She really is a feminist, and not afraid to be feminine. So many so-called 'feminists', in this country at least, divorce themselves from anything feminine or sexy or anything like that. Ivy has her power and knows how to use it!

Thanks always for the comments. I'm always happy to see you pop in! Smile

Lovely picture overall. The soft watercolors really make it work!

There's a certain elegance about her that's just gorgeous, plus a sort of corset thing going *_*

    Beautifully done!

Oh this is stunning! I absolutely love the coloring, you handled the watercolors beautifully. Ivy is almost ethereal in this piece. Big Smile I love it. ^^

Thank you so much! Smile I'm so glad you find her that way. I wanted to do a portrait of her in my own style, but with a different sort of appearance, hence the watercolours. :)

I believe she turned out gorgeous. You did a great job, and you're really talented with watercolours. They're hard to master like that. ^^
