Return of the Confident Artist

Posted Sep 12, 2005, 6:12:42 AM UTC
Ahhh...Finally; this artwork signifies the confidence I've finally allowed myself to have again. I've been stuck in this terrible rut for quite some time now, but I've started formal art education again, and it's already paying off...This piece has such emotion in it; there's just something I love about it so much. I hope you enjoy it!
P.s. I forgot to mention (silly me), that the original of this is a graphite drawing. I took it into PSP 7 and used a program called 'Pastel' to give it the kind of smeared look it has. :)

The girl looks pretty, and I like the composition. Corky Smile
There is a lot of warmth to this pic. Did you also use paints on this drawing? Huh?

Nope Smile After going over LadyAnime's review, I saw that I fogot to mention this has a computer effect done to it. I took it into Paint Shop Pro and fudged with it a bit.
The original is basically a graphite drawing that I spruced up a little in the program....Hmm... *skips off to change it in the description*
      Thanks so much!

Indeed it does have such emotion in it Heidi. I am so very impressed. What kind of paper is that? I really am amazed at the creativity that you put into this one. I love the "smudged" look. She is so beautiful. I am always impressed with your work hun. I hope college is going well. All my love.

College is going marvelously, though is getting a bit hard to be away from home so much. Sad
Anyway, this is a drawing that I did, graphite pencils and paper basically, and I took it into Paint Shop Pro 7 and added a technique called 'Pastel'. I guess I should mention that in the description, huh? I'm not really all that happy with the way the darker brown areas came out, simply because they're areas where I had trouble cleaning the image up. Maybe once I find the time I'll do a better job at.
      Thanks so much Kristina!
