Comment:
"At the beginning of time, born from the petals of the giant lotus Kishanti, Izantis came into being. At her birth the heavens filled with the scent of fresh blossoms and dew, and the flowers on Earth sang in rejoice. Izantis, being the first daughter of the deity flower was dubbed a goddess of flora and plant life. An aspect of Kishanti, she is heralded as a Mother Goddess, worshipped for her gentility, beauty, bounty, and light. She never strays far from the paradise in which Kishanti resides, tending the heaven gardens and many lakes filled with lotus blossoms therein. Even now, Izantis sits in all of her glory and beauty amid the petals of her Mother.

Her birth is part of an old legend, a story of the creation of all things. And she is the equivalent to Mother Nature in some humans beliefs, but to the creatures of the lands, she is Mother Earth. Izantis has never been seen by mortal human eyes, so her existance is often questioned by some, but she does in fact exist. It is said that when the lotus flowers bloom in a pathway it is where she has walked."

--------

A character that I've had for a looooooooooooong time. I've only just decided to do something with her and her family. I drew her a long while ago in her lion form - [link] which you can see is pretty old. XD;;;;

I think the thing I love most about this picture is the color, augh. I had so much fun picking colors and making designs for her jewelry and clothing. I really loved painting Kishanti in the background too, I haven't used gouache in so long, its nice to use it again. The scan isn't all that great, but its as good as its going to get without slaughtering the image. ; n ; Oh well~

Just an fyi, devi means goddess in Hindi~ :D
