A sketch from my adventure on the bus I'd like to forget. = ___ =
This particular character, if I can even call he that, is one that's been showing up since my grandmother passed away back in 2008 as well as my beloved dog of 14 years. When I started here at CCAD she started showing up in various pages of my sketchbooks and drawing pads off in the corners. While I was on my way home on the bus a few weeks ago, I pulled out my sketchbook and started doodling. Lo and behold, there she was again in the jumble of scribbles. So I continued to work with her for the remaining three hour drive.

This is Diadama a dancing skeleton! 8D
Her name is derived from the Spanish word "dia" which means day and the Sanskrit "dama" which means control of the senses. Dama is also the second of six virtures in Jnana Yoga known as Shad Sampat.

She does a great deal of dancing and has control over her body through intense yoga training and enlightenment. Her personality is very chipper and upbeat, and she is passionate about dancing.

There will be more of her to come soon, when I have time. @ n @
