Clockwork Navy Page 01

Page that I finished yesterday for a project being put together by a friend of mine. It's a collection of Steampunk comics that were all written by her but are going to be drawn by different artists. Should be on sale this summer, I believe.

This is the first page of my comic story, which is Clockwork Navy. I put a ton of work in to this page, hours and hours of work and I hope it shows. I think my favorite parts are the window on the right, the boats, and the old couple arguing. Oh, and I like the airships.

Should have more preview bits as I get them done, though none will have text, so if you want to read the story you'll have to get the collection! smiley

Ah cool- so this is from the comic you're talking about in the forums? How far through is it? I'm interested to see more ^^

I finished page 8 out of 12 yesterday, so I'm 2/3rds of the way done. This is a project that's a compilation of steampunk stories that are all going to be printed together. They were written by one girl who then asked for volunteers to draw them. Since I needed some more practice with doing comics, I threw my name in. It's been really fun and the book should be out later this summer. Everyone's *supposed* to have their stuff in by the end of July.

And you're two thirds done? ^^; I hope you have enough time to finish the rest of it ^^; What kind of story is it? Steam punk obviously, but steampunk is a time and location theme

Well I'm 2/3rds done my 12 page comic script, so that's eight pages so far. I'm hoping to get the other 4 done this week (about a five weeks ahead of the production schedule).

The script that was written for me to draw is about a Doctor who invents steam powered prosthetics for soldiers. The Navy starts using the technology to make full steam-powered armies for their war though. It's really been a lot of fun to draw. Very different from the comic that I've been doing.
