Inuyasha and the Shikon

Yaa, this is like, my most fav fan-art I've done yet ^_^. Would you believe, the idea, and base for his pose, came from me posing in a mirror? XD lol, whatever gives ya inspiration, go with it! lol. Once I got the body frame idea, I needed person to apply it to, so I chose Inuyasha, cus' it just works with home sooo well lol. Then after that, I did NOT know WHAT I wanted to do for his dang arms/hands >< so I put in the Tutsusaiga...then he STILL looked bare..so aftercoloring him, and I put a circle behind him, inked it, lightly made a smallery circle inside with mech pencuil, then shaded lightly beside that with pink, and VOILA, instant Shikon Jewel XD. Plus the Jewel seems to make Inu stand out more like my mom said O.O. lol, anywho, my rant is done XD

Done with crayola colored pencil, 0.5mm mechanical pencil, and an extra fine ball point pen.

Hey Chris. What can I tell you, it's a nice pic. I like the accuracy with which you colored it, you always do a good job coloring your drawings. The red, grey and the pink of the shikon work well together. I like the way he's standing, but i think he should have his sword rested againt his shoulder for better balance. And on his fist you should have shown the first finger around the hilt. And I also think the sheath is a bit short. But still nice work hun. And I wish you luck with the move and all.

Hey! Thanks Maria Corky Smile Yeah, coloring is one of my favorite parts, cus' it adds life to a picture Corky Smile. And yeah, I think you're right too, the pommel of where his sword is, SHOULD be higher rested on the shoulder, not so low >< Plus that hand needs to be wrapped MORE around that handle lol, I'm all the time havin' problems FORMING the hand itself in certain positions, because I see it at first in my head, then I begin confusinf myself with the detail, and I lose the MAIN idea of what it should be lol, but I actually found a hand tutorial on deviantart.com the other day to help such things O.O. Thanks againg for the comment Maria, always appreciated Corky Smile

You're welcome Chris. I'm glad you found a tutorial for drawing hands, that means you'll get better with this. Smile

Oh...finally done! Yay! And I must say he looks wonderful Chris. And, yes I like the Shikon jewel behind him as well. The only advice I would give is to maybe actually put a few different shades of pink in the jewel to give it more dimension. Other than that, it looks great. And you already know what I think of the way you came about making this picture. Wink Hopefully I will talk to you soon. I know how you have been busy with packing and all. Good luck in your new place. All my love.
