Ahe for Kuroiyousei

Character belongs to Kuroiyousei, drawn for characterartexchange.com,a "secret santa" art exchange looking for more participants.

The character seemed to lend herself to b&w with spot colours, as well as sneering. Needed to show off the teeth.

Even if the background isn't very detailed, I am pretty happy with how this image turned out. I think the main bit was that instead of settling for one of the standard angles of the head I can draw, I went and made a reference photo.

A4 format. Pencils (B, 4B, 6B; mechanical pencil for the hair) and smudging, markers for the eyes and white ink for 2-3 touchups.
