Moment's Respite WIP 07

AH! I'm not dead. Just my computer was. And look! I brought more art! :O GASP.

Okay, so it's another update on Moment's Respite... I was looking at it and decided that there needed to be something in the right hand corner-ish area other than broken stones and plants and flowers. So we have a cat-girl (Ariva, who was promised to Vayu when they were children. Ariva hails from an Amazon-like clan of cat warriors, the Ejo (Ai-joe)). Then we have Ctibor, crown prince of Saki, hailing from the capital city of Semyudemra (ce-MEW-dehm-rah).

Now these two drawn in are merely SKETCHES. They will be cleaned up -- I didn't want to spend a lot of time on them when only one or none will be in the final image.

Lemme know which view is better! A, B, or C!

Also, should there be someone in the doorway at the top of the stairs? I was thinking of having the Prince's bodyguard, Alasdair, there, or another elf by Cichol. Both are Shadow-mancers.

I prefer A myself: Putting in extra things and people distract the viewer from what I would assume is the main focus of the piece.

In a way I agree with Arkillian. OPn the other hand this picture is already very detailed, it almost looks strange to have such a big empty space. And I kind of like the pose of the character on B. I like the crouching pose. It almost makes me think that they are dicussing a rather important, problematic thing and the character feels somewhat bothered with that move. But I'm guessing it's just her natural way to hang around considering her cat-like features.
Anyway, my personal vote is for B

I kinda like A the best. The picture could use some uninteresting space that the eye doesn't have to look at. It's a little sterile in A though. Maybe if the edges were more organic it'd look more natural and less deliberate. That's my thoughts Smile It's a lovely lineart though ^^

:3 Okies. It seems like A is over all preferred by everyone I've checked with.I just need to finish that wall and then I'll add some more plant life.

<.< I realized I left the ivy layer turned off that was along the banister, so I'll be doing another update soon-ish

      THANK YOU!
