Concept: Faros Emperor

Farosians are energy beings due to an incident in their history - they were formerly flesh and blood, but had their souls and bodies ripped apart. In a desperate attempt to keep themselves physical, they used nether magic, a type of chaos magic, in wrappings and it worked.

Because of that incident, they don't function like normal flesh and blood races do. They consume gemstones and drink molten metals. Because there is a Netherworld connection underneath Faros, the gemstones and metals around the region have "life" to them, and have health benefits depending on the type of gem or metal for the Farosians. Gemstones outside of this region are considered "dead", but they're no less healthy/unhealthy.

The black gaps represent glowing purple vapour; there is actually nothing else to their bodies. When a Farosian is born, the presence of skin (which tends to be purple), eyes (pupil-less and white) and black sclera are completely random. They also speak with a hollow, echoing voice; their voices will sound different depending on positive and negative emotions they are feeling. The environment also somehow grows empathic - darkening when a Faros is feeling negative, and brighter when positive.

They don't exactly sleep - it's more like how a consciousness dims itself to conserve ebergy.

Even though they are energy beings, they still can fall ill. Emperor Marfath has an illness inherited through his lineage; it can be fatal without the right amount of rest and food material. He wears dark purple and gold. He also doesn't actually have a nose, since they don't need it.
