Dante and Vergil (revised)

*giggles* I am actually more of a Vergil fan myself. ^_^ But yes, Dante is hot. And these two are actually from the PS2 video game Devil May Cry 3. Thank you so much for reviewing my artwork hun. Especially this pic because this is one of my best drawings in my gallery I think. I am glad that it has received some love. Thanks again sweetie. ^_^

I will tell you the same thing I tell everyone that hasn't played the game... YOU SHOULD PLAY IT!!! It is (this is the part where I say "in my opinion" ) the greatest game of all time! Not only because of the action and the missions, but the special effects are a work of art. It definitely is my most favorite game of all time. And I am not just saying that because of the hot computer generated guys in it. Now then... yes these are really the clothes the characters wear. But me being the pervert that I am would rather them be wearing nothing at all. But I don't think I will get my way with that. These 2 are twin brothers. One is working for the greater good of mankind (Dante aka the guy on our left) while his twin brother Vergil (aka my favorite of the duo/ the one on our right) is obsessed with taking over the world and opening a portal that will unleash hell on earth. I have a thing for the bad guys.
I so know what you mean about bgs.Usually I avoid them because I get lazy and I run out of ideas for what to put in the BG that won't smother or take away from the main characters. So I usually leave them out. But this one is from a time period where I decided I seriously needed to pull myself out of my rut and put some kind of BG in. So this BG is completely made up in my mind. It is nice to meet another person that prefers the traditional style of drawing with pencils or graphite sticks or charcoal or what have you. It is my passion. I love to do realism and I am trying hard to get my shading more subtle and have a softer blended effect. But I am getting there. Thank you so much for the review. I swear you spoiled me with your compliments. Not that I mind it at all. Heehee I look forward to seeing more amazing art from you. I think I have a smiley addiction. >W< Take care.

Haha! It does look a bit like something from Advent Children doesn't it? Well these two guys are from my very most favorite video game of all time called Devil May Cry 3 for PS2. They are twin brothers (Dante and Vergil) and this scene I chose to do depicts only one of their many fighting scenes. They don't get along too well with each other. That whole sibling rivalry thing. Aww, thank you sweetheart. I am also a HUGE fan of the Devil May Cry games. DMC 3 is by far my favorite. Except I think Dante should lay off of his brother Vergil. I think maybe he is just mad because Vergil got all the looks. LOL JK But Vergil IS my favorite of the twins. I am so glad that you like the background I did for this. I actually am terrible at doing backgrounds. I try to avoid them if I can. Maybe that's just laziness. Thank you again for your wonderful comments. It makes it all worth it. *hugs*

Whew! Thank goodness. I am glad that you like the little gargoyle. Though he is more adorable than intimidating. Ah well. He is a HUGE improvement over that other ghastly attrocity I had on that pillar. And I am wondering if I may have lightened up that statue behind Dante a bit too much at the base because now it looks like a ghost. Though that will work perfectly too. Lloyd, my dear, I seriously doubt you have stagnated. Remember... I consider you an art god. You just haven't had a chance to work on your art much lately. Don't worry sweetie, you will be back to creating your masterpieces in no time. That said, I want to thank you for your kind words to me on this one. I do have a couple of things to fix on it that I'm not happy with, but I put so much time and effort into this one and I am pretty proud of it. I am trying to work on putting some darker tones into my more recent drawings to make them stand out more. I am so very happy that you are noticing my progress though. Oh my gosh Chris... you have NO IDEA how black my hands were after finishing this one. And I am actually in the process of fixing things up on this one. Like the sky... I am going to just darken it up. I hate how it vcame out. I also need to soften the edges a bit on that statue behind Dante and I need to do something with that one with the skull/snake on it. The more I look at that, the more I hate it. >_< So I am going to fix it up before I put it up at DA. (Oh and I figured out how to add people to my watch list over there. It was actually quite simple once I sat down and figured it out. ) Anywhoo, you should DEFINITELY play this game sometime. Oh man, I kick butt at it. The graphics alone are worth playing it for. Awesome game. And bricks are actually pretty simple to do hun. They are just draw a rectangle. Put a little bit of pencil inside to give it some color. Blend the pencil (I prefer to use q-tips for blending) and make sure you leave a bit of "lighter" areas on them from where your light source would be coming from. And voila! The hard part was making them look like some of them were broken. Anywhoo, thank you for your praise and your compliments. And I accept virgin sacrifices as well.

Vergil (the one on the right and definitely the hottest twin) is evil and hell-bent on taking over the world and opening up hell or something like that to wreak havoc on the world. Dante (the one on the left), though definitely hot, is on a rampage to stop him. personally, I think he is jealous because Vergil got all the looks. But anywhoo, it leads to a big violent fight between the two and this is a depiction of that fight. I am actually going to fix up the few things that I need to fix today. I just haven't been able to get around to it. Always so much to do. But anywhoo, I am so pleased that you like it. I worked really hard and I am glad that it shows. All my love. ^_^

I am thinking about doing iaway with it all together and maybe putting a gargoyle there. (Which I should have done in the first place. >_<But oh well. I will think of something.
