A character from Sayen's universe, Maevin is the general of the Dark Elves' army, taking orders from the royal family directly. He is the youngest to climb the ranks all the way to the top, and takes great pride in his work. Once Sayen visited Duradi-el, the capital city of the Dark Elves, he managed to convince Maevin the cult threat was very real, and too much to handle for one group of adventurers alone. After getting handed the Cultist plans to attack the Dwarven city and steal the highly instable prototype to their latest weapon, Maevin readily agreed to help defend it.

He takes his work very seriously, and keeps making an effort to come off as an authority figure... Which includes hiding his elaborate collection of ornate armor and exotic clothing. Despite the attention Maevin pays to his looks, he hates being called girly and has gruesomely killed many an opponent for that very reason. He is in charge of commanding the entire army; this includes commanding the Royal Guard and the elite group of royal assassins called Nightshade, training prince Arvokaar in the art of combat and generally keeping Duradi-El safe.
