Arcanine Commission - Color

Posted Sep 22, 2015, 5:52:22 PM UTC

A Commission I completed for Ku Crescent of a Pokemon-world Original Character she designed, along with said character's Arcanine Companion

Done in a more realistic style as per request. (and yes, I follow the belief that as per the name they ARE-CANINE.)

Done with Copic Markers on Bristol Paper.

    Just lovely Big Smile
I am also rather envious of those with the ability to use a traditional medium as opposed to the digital kind I can't seem to break away from :S
    The colours look fantastic!

      Thank you very much! ^_^

Both mediums take a lot of practice, but a lot of principles can work between both. The best piece of advice I was ever given for traditional medium was "Work light-to-dark" it seems like a simple thing, but you can also practice that in Digital. (even though I like to do it the other way around myself.)

I love the vibrancy of copic markers, I highly recommend them. they look like watercolor but are so much more controlled.
